Great design!
I was re-using plastic containers from a bottled tea company because they were rectangular and fit well in the fridge. While these are not exactly rectangular, the fit the bill perfectly - nice big opening for cleaning, and a shape that allows three of them to fit side-by-side on my fridge shelf. No more reusing old plastic jugs for me!

Buy this! It's the BEST pitcher / jug I've ever used. No cons at all.
I've spent so much money in my quest to find a jug that is large, sturdy, doesn't leak, and pours easily. I've tried name brand products that aren't as great as this jug. I use it to store my daughter's mixed formula with milk because it's easier to mix a lot at once, so I needed a jog that I could close and shake. While Rubbermade what one that fit the bill, the lid was so wide that I couldn't get a strong enough grip on it to open it after it was empty (the dried milk trapped in the lid acts like a glue). This jug has a smaller opening that I can easily grip and open, even when the dried milk has "glued" it on. The opening is still large enough to easily pour powder and liquids through. When I shake it to mix everything, it doesn't leak at all! So, I know my daughter's milk mixture will stay fresh in my fridge until we use it all up.

These are some of the best jugs around.
I've been using this type of jug for 10+ years now. They also make a 1ltr that is great for personal water source. We have been using this last one for over 4 years now. We use it for our brewed tea. As it has a wide open mouth we can fit tea bags right in. This is plastic mind you so dont make sun tea in it.Overall these jugs have been the best for us as they fit right in the fridge shelf and dont really take up a lot of space. Just remember... When you order one order 2 trust me. The lid will break and the jug will crack eventually if you have kids or drop it while fill of juice. :)Lastly these are injection molded so some light sanding or trimming is a good idea for where the seams are. Our last one was right where your hand goes and did scratch they fingers when using it. But best value for money for sure.

Great gallon jug container
We have forever chemicals in our town water supply, so we can't drink it and the bottled water from the store is getting to expensive. I was reusing the store containers an refilling them with Spring Water but they are not as sturdy as I like. These bottles are so much easier to use for this purpose. I really like them.

Lid/spout doesn't line up
Despite mixed reviews about the spout not lining up, I took a chance on this pitcher. It's a good quality pitcher, feels very sturdy, and the handle is more ergonomically friendly than most pitchers that have squared off or ridged handles. I bought this because my 11 year old was born missing his left arm from just below his elbow and pouring from pitchers has always been a struggle for him. I've tried several different pitchers, but his struggle is the same. Then I watched him pour milk last week and noticed that he doesn't have a hard time with the milk gallon handle and found several in the style of this product. I'm pleased with everything except for the lid/spout. The only way I found to line it up is to crank it further than I probably should have, which made opening it back up super hard. I tried leaving it loose and centered and it leaked big time. If the spout had lined up, I'd have given 5 stars. It's a relatively simple manufacturing fix. All the manufacturer needs to do is to adjust where the threads on the inside of the lid and pitcher opening start. They need to adjust the molds (the most expensive part of the process) so that when the lid is screwed all the way on it's centered (or close) to where it needs to be. I won't be returning it because I know I'll find a use for it, but I'll be shopping for something else for my son to use regularly.
