Never going back to typical toothpaste!
This toothpaste is amazing! So kind of a long story, but I was having some seriousissues with my teeth. While I take care of them pretty well (I don't smoke, get cleanings, etc), they just weren't looking as white as I wanted them to, and weirdly, I was havingsome serious dragon breath that I just couldn't seem to shake.I had looked at a bunch of different options, tried all the typical things like whiteningstrips and mouthwash, but then my dentist told me that my enamel is naturally weakeror something? Apparently, it's a genetic thing? And all that mouthwash and whiteningstrips were a no-go for me. Plus I'm also trying to be careful about what I put in mybody, so I really wanted to find a natural alternative. Just one problem...a lot of thenatural things I tried just didn't work that well.Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. I was googling for some info about natural oralhealth (and getting really freaked out about triclosan!!) and I saw this toothpaste, so Ithought I'd give it a try. I really liked how it had xylitol and activated charcoal, since I hadcome across a couple of studies showing how the first actually kills the type of bacteriathat causes bad breath, and the second kind of acts like a whitening magnet to pull thebad stuff off your teeth, and after going down a little bit of a research rabbit hole, I gotreally interested in how the L. paracasei in it might help. Apparently scientists havefound that it crowds out the bad bacteria in your mouth so they can't do as muchdamage. Told you I went down a research rabbit hole :)To be honest, I wasn't expecting to see that much of a difference. But hey, their otherthings seem really science-backed and what did I have to lose? All I can say is WOW.My teeth look amazing, much whiter than I expected after such a short time, and mybreath is back to normal –– no more using mouthwash after every meal, no morewondering if people are thinking about it while I'm talking to them. I don't know what wasgoing on in my mouth, but thank God that it's taken care of now! Now I've got my wholefamily using it. The kids love it because it turns their teeth black … and I like that it'shealthy for them and flavored like normal toothpaste so they'll actually use it.Hyperbiotics, if you guys read these, you've got a customer for life!

Show and Tell with my Dentist
I feel that this toothpaste does an incredible job. I used it for about a month before my last dental appointment as an experiment. I also brought it into my dentist to see what she had to say about it.In my experience, my teeth felt very clean. This toothpaste did a good job getting rid of that rough coating that starts to develop on your teeth (I'm sure there is a technical term - no idea what it is). The flavor is very subtle - which is fine for me - I don't need my toothpaste to taste like a bowl of candy. I must admit that the first couple of times I used this, I did pause before putting the black toothpaste into my mouth. Completely psychological weirdness on my part, but quickly got over it. Then I thought I would try to gross out my wife with it. Sadly she didn't want to play. So, off to the dentist with toothpaste in hand to play show-and-tell. Overall she was very happy with the condition of my teeth (no cavities! and very easy clean from the hygienist). I showed her the toothpaste to get her opinion. She was very excited about the Xylitol and happily explained why. We both agreed that my teeth had whitened up a shade or two. She assured me too that based on what she saw in the ingredients and upon examination of my teeth, that this toothpaste wasn't doing any damage. I was a little worried that it might be too abrasive, but she said that wasn't the case. She wasn't ready to commit to the potential efficacy of the probiotic aspect but did understand what they were getting at. The one issue she had was that it didn't have fluoride. Ultimately, she suggested that I use my regular fluoride toothpaste in the evening, before bed, to give the fluoride a chance to set up on my teeth overnight and use this in the morning. A reasonable compromise? She indicated that the "other" toothpaste I use wouldn't disrupt the bacterial load this one was trying to establish.All-in-all, I have had a good experience with this toothpaste and continue to use it - but for my morning brush leaving the evening to my traditional sensitive teeth fluoridated toothpaste. This has the added benefit of doubling the life of the tube, which is still a bit on the expensive side.
