Robust , economic, effective
Go for it , rather than saving few bucks and finding a cheaper alternatives this product is worth spending some extra for its robust performance, outdoor is almost silent, cooling is solid and customer service is excellent, the power saving mode is very effective, I would say this is the best ac I have ever had in my all purchases of AC.

Worst brand and worst service
Bought it for my Kerala home and thought Daikin is a know brand and I would like it. But, I was wrong. From day 1, the cooling of the AC is abominable. It starts slowly and reaches at around 90-97% compressor capacity and after a little time starts reducing its capacity and stays at 45-55% then after. Reported the issue to the company and they sent technician from some Giant Air System and they say that ambient temperature is high and that’s why it’s like that. I wonder that if 34 degrees ambient temperature is high for this AC, what would happen to people who buy it for Delhi or places like that? It’s been more than 25 days since I’ve registered the complaint and have called Giant Air Systems multiple times but till date they have not attended it.My suggestion would is people, don’t buy this brand. Their service is poor and you will regret your decision like I am right now.Update 14/03/24 - The guy (I think he is some senior tech guy from service team) visited on 13/02/24 and checked the system with gas pressure monitor and found nothing wrong with the gas pressure. It was around 140 when operating and he told me that it’s fine. Then apparently he flushed the gas a little bit and told me that sometimes it’s needed to do so to let the trapped air release from the system and it can help. He did check rest of the operations. He explained a lot of things and some key takeaways are-1. The display room temperature is always adjusted 2-3 degrees higher than the actual room temperature so that the machine could keep on working on keeping the room temperature to a comfortable levels when people open the doors or windows of that room for something.2. He taught me how without any equipment one can test and find that the AC gas pressure and other functions are ok. The method is - just go to the outdoor unit and check the pipe temperature of both in and out pipes and if they are somewhat similar in temperature, that means the rotation of the gas is perfect and there is no need to worry. On the other hand if there is a big variation in temperature of in and out pipes, one should ask the technician to come and check.3. Even if we set 18 degree as the required temperature for the room, it will never really reach that level in practical conditions. So, we must be ok with that as well and I think that’s fair enough.4. He asked me to keep the AC at 24 degrees preferably and that would give you the most comfortable room condition and I agree with him.5. These are smart ACs and they are designed to operate with minimal power consumption and hence you may find the load on compressor varying at times.He said sometimes the trapped air in the system can cause a bit issue with cooling but I am not sure how and if that air can be removed from the system when it is already mixed with the gas in compressor.First day of use after flushing it was better compared to previous days. The system didn’t drop performance and did some work to cool the room. At 24 degrees, it felt cool enough and I think it’s improved.Will share more after a few days of checking it. Increasing the rating from 1 star to 3 star for the well behaved technician from Giant air systems ( actually every technician who visited from Giant was well behaved and gentleman, it’s just my frustration with the delay in their response which got be cribbing about them ;) ha ha haa…)

Value for Money
Daikin air conditioners are a premium choice with excellent performance, low noise, and smart energy use. Though the upfront price may be higher, the quality, efficiency, and reliability make it a solid long-term investment

No doubt product is awesome. But installation service was very very very very poor. Please be improved installation service.

Overall not satisfactory
The media could not be loaded. review submitted on 20-August 2024-Tuesday👉🏼First of all I don't understand why Daikin has made the width of one of the two horizontal flaps (in the indoor unit air vent) smaller. Consequently, there is a permanent gap in the indoor unit (IDU) air vent all the time when AC is off. Insects, rodents, lizards, etc can easily enter the IDU through this gap. Also, this gap doesn't look good. See photo. This appears to be an unintelligent design.👉🏼Daikin and Amazon appointed (or gave contracts to) those personnel (engineers, technicians, etc) who were not thoroughly trained to do installation. I have already contacted both DAIKIN and Amazon about this but their responses have been lackluster. Explanation ➡️ See the video I have uploaded.In the official installation manual some important points have been mentioned. Some of these points are so obvious that even a layman expects these points to be followed. But the installation engineers, technicians, etc did not implement those points.Following are two points from the "What is covered in a standard AC installation scope (Highwall split air conditioner – capacity up to 2.0 TR)" document :[1] Drilling one hole on a brick wall (no core cutting) to connect the outdoor unit (ODU) with the indoor unit (IDU)[2] Sealing the holes with white cement/POP.Also, page 5 (pdf page 26/33) of the INSTALLATION MANUAL says, "1) Drill a feed-through hole with a 65 mm diameter through the wall at a downward angle toward the outside. 2) insert a wall embedded pipe into the hole. 3) Insert a wall hole cover into the wall pipe."But in reality none of those 2 points from "standard installation" document have been carried out. Instead the following were done : “1. several holes were hammered to make one hole. Appropriate drill bit equipment - which makes one single clean hole - was not used. 2. Hole was not sealed with white cement/POP.”Moreover, none of the 3 points from the installation manual were followed. NEITHER the hole has been made at a downward angle NOR a wall embedded pipe was used NOR the wall hole cover was applied.When I contacted DAIKIN they passed it to the local Daikin service centre. When I contacted Amazon they advised me to talk to DAIKIN service centre. Daikin service centre advised me to talk to the technician/engineer. In a nutshell, everyone is trying to pass the buck ⬅️ So that was the brief description of the poor installation service.👉🏼Moreover, I have sent several other topics of concerns, queries, etc to Daikin through various official mediums ( viz official email, official website form, official social media, etc) but almost all remain unresolved or unanswered.👉🏼I will write more details in this review as soon as possible. There are various other points about this item which anyone interested should be aware about.👉🏼For the time being - considering everything (e.g. installation service, fine details of this AC, Daikin's online support, etc) - I want to rate Daikin 1 or 2 stars.
