When i open it, the top plate is wobbling..is it normal with everyone or its me who got the defected one?

Yes there is some play in the hinge area on my as well, this I think is normal to allow the waffle to expand when cooking

I had big issues with this product falling apart but yes it does flip

Doesn’t come with recipes. However I used some Costco pancake mix today and they came out great.
