The juiciest ribs ever!!
These planks aren't just for planking salmon. I've made some of the juiciest ribs ever using these. In fact I only use them for ribs now. They're cedar planks there's not much you can say about a cedear plank. So here's a great recipe to get some juicy mouth-watering ribs.Directions:Soak the plank in apple cider vinegar for 1 hourCut white membrane off back of ribsCoat back ribs with mustardSprinkle and pat Cedar Grilling Rib Rub over entire back ribsDry plank, cut garlic in half and rub top side of plankLightly coat topside of plank with olive oilLay rub coated back ribs meat side down on plankPrepare barbeque for indirect grilling (no heat under plank)Place plank on grill and close lidCook on low heat 230-250°F (110-120°C) for 3 to 4 hoursTurn ribs over after first hour and lightly spray with apple ciderSpray apple cider every half hour for flavour and to keep ribs moist20 minutes before serving, brush Cedar Grilling Glaze on back ribsTurn up the indirect heat a little to help caramelize the glaze on the back ribsWarm the extra Rib Glaze and serve on the side as a dipping sauce

Great salmon smoking accessory
We've been reviewing recipes for smoked salmon and most often, they call for a cedar plank to be used. After reviewing various ones available, I decided to order this one. I simply didn't see a need to order 8, 10, or 12 planks. This one comes with TWO planks.I received it in a timely manner (Thanks Amazon and Weber). Yesterday, my wife marinated and prepared 2 1/2 pounds of salmon for the smoker. She followed the directions in SOAKING the planks for one hour or more BEFORE using them in the smoker. She set the temperature at 225F in the smoker. This salmon took approximately 1 1/2 hours to cook to get to 145F (internal meat temperature). Once done, she removed the planks from the smoker and took the salmon off the plank. She stated that the planks did an outstanding job. A hint of cedar was present in the taste of the meat. Afterwards, she said that it was easy to clean the planks and she's ready for the next time!PROS: Right-sized planksCONS: none noted.

High quality, nice flavor
These are perfect for grilling salmon. They smell great and the salmon comes out perfectly.

Good to cook with
These cooked up the fish ok. Didn't transmit heat as well as I expected and they burned off before the fish was cooked, but it did enhance the flavor.

One time use planks
We purchased these planks to grill salmon. While the plank was large enough for to grill the salmon, there was not a notable cedar flavor and the planks were unable to be cleaned for another use. If you are looking for a reusable cedar plank that would give great flavor, I would suggest another product.

BUY THESES!!!
We cooked Salmon steaks on these a couple of times and love them. The cedar flavor transfers to the fish amazingly well. Pre-soak the planks in water, place fish on the plank and place on the grill. I wasn't sure how we'd like the cedar planks because we do a lot of smoked fish anyway but the plank is great for a quick meal with a hint of cedar flavor and smoke.
