Long read, but worth itāļø
Iāve seen and used a lot of pack ān plays. But NEVER the one like Joovy! Itās out of this world, Iām serious. The quality of this product is AMAZING! The famous āGā brand is just junk in comparison to Joovy. How does it perform:- It is a very sturdy pack ān play, no way your child will flip it or push it, or move it in any way. It is just the design, the way itās made, it will definitely stay still in one spot;- The mattress. First of all itās thick and doesnāt bend under your childās weight, which is great! It has wooden inserts that are keeping it flat. It has enough padding that makes it soft and provides cushioning. Also it comes with a waterproof velour cover. I still use a regular cotton jersey sheet over it even though I donāt need to. Just easier to wash the sheet than the whole mattress cover (they call it a sheet, but itās waaay thicker than the sheet, youāll see);- The changer. Advertised that holds up to 25 pounds, but itās so sturdy that it can hold even more than that. The fabric is molded into the metal bars, plus additional snaps (that are very hard to undo). Has security belts. I love that it can be attached on either left or right side of the crib. I prefer the side with the organizer shelf, so I have everything in easy access;- Assembling and folding. Super easy! I had no hard times to do that. Love how compact it is when folded, doesnāt take much room in the trunk.- Fabric quality and other materials quality is on point;- Sleek design, lots of storage pockets and the shelf, yass! Now, what I wish was different:- The weight of it. Itās on the heavier side. But thereās a reason why, it wouldnāt be so sturdy if not that.- The price. It is not a cheap product. But I assure, you get what you pay for. Itās beyond amazing and canāt be compared to other brands!- The smell (at first!). Yes, it did smell like factory dye, I unpacked it and let it sit for a day in the room with open window. The smell was gone!My review wasnāt sponsored or anything like that. I just felt like I had to share, because I was so amazed by the quality of this product. Joovy exceeded my highest expectations! ā¤ļøI hope it was helpful.

Larger size=longer use.
Got this for the 3rd child knowing Iād rather it last longer if Iām investing more $. The changing table attachment is super sturdy, and it takes quite a bit of effort to remove it. Thereās enough room for a newborn to lay in the bassinet beside the changing table without having to remove it. Size-wise, itās almost like having two travel-lite pack n plays side-by-side. Iāve never had twins, but it would work nicely for infants if one did.The footprint is much larger, but this will get a child much longer usage due to the length/width as opposed to a traditional size.Yes, it requires a larger, more pricey sheet (one comes with it already), but itās totally worth it to spend the extra because itās super-soft and waterproof. Customer service was friendly and easy to reach when I needed a replacement for the sheet after the waterproofing came detached from the sheet after the first wash. I figure it was a manufacturer defect, as the spare sheet I bought hasnāt shown any signs of doing this. The mat is quite heavy and clumsy to move around, but it seems to be a little softer than others. My older kids like storing stuff in the diaper compartment since weāre not really using it, and itās held up to their abuse.I wouldnāt recommend this for frequent travel (or air travel) simply because of the weight, but weāll definitely be taking it on occasional road trips with us.

Beautiful but frustrating at first
This is a conflicting 3 stars to give. I absolutely agree with the reviewers that have expressed difficulty in setting up and breaking down the playard. I don't know if we just got units with stiffer components or what, but it took two adults, a lot of swearing, and thousands of degrees of rotation of the playard in every position possible to click the rails into place - and it was pretty much the same process breaking it down. My husband and I were not good friends after dealing with this thing. That said, the unit is incredibly solid, beautiful, and well-thought out. The side table is the most functional and best looking feature I've seen in any baby sleep furniture, and I wish there was something exactly like it to attach to a regular crib. But we are still on the fence about keeping it.To make things easier, here are something things we learned the EXTRA hard way about clicking and unclicking the rails when setting up or tearing down:- Make sure the middle portion has not been laid flat and is still mostly collapsed if setting up. If tearing down, collapse the middle portion before attempting to unclick the rails.- Turn the whole thing upside down, so feet in the air.- If setting up, start with the shorter rails and pull the feet gently toward each other so as to assist with the arching of the rails. Then try to click into place. The longer rails are much easier.- If tearing down, also pull the feet together and then the button on the rails should depress easily. You can do this alone by pulling the feet toward each other with your hands and depressing the button with your heel. The button literally felt immovable before I pulled the legs together.UPDATE: We have since been setting this up and breaking it down in 2 mins flat following the technique above. I suppose it's reassuring that it takes so much to break down - there should be little chance of the thing collapsing on our baby. Now that we have it figured out and everything else about the playard rocks, I have upgraded from 3 to 5 stars.
