How do you connect unit to Alexa

1. Connect the gate opener remote switch to your existing auto gate control system. 2. Download our APP(WIFI Smart Control) to your phone, register an account and connect the switch to the APP successfully. 3. Search for "WIFI Smart Control" on your Alexa APP Skills Store and enable it, then fill the WIFI Smart Control account information. 4. Ask Alexa to discover devices, finish adding this switch(initial name is LT3 Automatic Gate). 5. Control the switch through Echo, support commands: Alexa, turn on Button A(or Button B/Button C); Alexa, turn off Button A(or Button B/Button C). Notes: There is a manual come with the switch, it'll tell you how to use the APP. This switch initial name is LT3 Automatic Gate which can be changed by yourself on APP. There are 3 buttons on 1 switch, initial name for the buttons are Button A, Button B and Button C, you can change the names on the APP. Can this be retrofit to work with our current garage door opener

Unit will work with most openers, however there is a link in the description which will take you to a list of openers. If you cannot find your opener, momentarily short the two wires running from the opener to your wall switch. If your opener works, this device will work. If your opener does nothing, then this device will not work. I only have one door, so I mounted mine on the ceiling above and just behind the opener, so installation was easy. I would suggest, however, to purchase a separate 86mm mounting box to simplify the installation.

can this system give me garage door status for marantec M4500e?

Yes. Look for WiFi IP cameras that work with the "Smart Life" app. I recently bought some cameras from Amazon made by "Panamalar." They work great and are easy to set-up.
