Gave this to my 2 year old son on his birthday, he loves it and plays with it every day. It is indeed, heavy duty. He likes us to push him around it in like his own personal chariot! We haven't brought it outside yet, but I assume this will end up being used outside all summer long. I wish it was all metal, but it is mostly plastic, with the main area of the dump being made of metal, I knew this when I bought it, though . Seems to be well made, and I expect it to hold up well for a while. If you're looking for a toy that will be well loved by a 2-5 year old, you can't go wrong with a dump truck!

Let me begin by saying you could never go wrong buying a Tonka toy. I still have my sons that are over 50 years old! With that said, I bought two of these for my nephews that were supposed to arrive on their birthday tomorrow. It had promised May 6 delivery and so I chose this truck. I just checked my order and they will not be arriving for their birthday tomorrow. Had I known that, I would have chosen something else. Why promise when you can’t deliver? I still gave it five stars because the toy itself and the company , serves the five stars. It is the system that stinks.

Well constructed toy (metal with some plastic parts) that is great for outdoor play (in the dirt or sandbox). Was given as a birthday gift for a 1 year old boy (who has 2 older brothers) and all 3 wanted to play with this toy. Good investment; toy should last for a long time.

I got this as a birthday present and the kids were all arguing over it and went back this week and they are still playing with it so it seems to be a big hit. If I could change one thing about it I would have liked the front plow to have been metal but it is plastic.

These are WONDERFUL and sturdy toys. My wife's daycare kids (2-3 years old) love these trucks. They lean on them and run outside. They fill them with mulch. A must have toy for boys or girls that age.

For the price you cannot beat it! I loved the packaging it came in and the toy is very sturdy and well put together. I love the size and the fact they are so realistic with details! They roll around easy and seem to be made well.
