Perfect replacement for the need
I'm an aircrew member with the Civil Air Patrol. As a mission observer one of my duties is to help plan the navigation for our sorties. I used to use my mom's plotter and flight computer from the early 70s for this, but I foolishly let those go when I had to sell my home. This is an excellent replacement and I intend to use it for many years to come.

Does exactly what it says and it’s reasonable quality for the money.My personal preference is now the rotating bezel which I find easier to use but nothing wrong with this one.

Exactly like the one you got in your private pilot school
I was looking for a new plotter that was similar to the one I've been using for 30 years from my private pilot training days and this fit the bill. Once it's scuffed up a bit and a little dirty it will look just like the original and I'm very comfortable using it. I also have one about half size that I now use more frequently, but with some new transition helicopter training going on I wanted a full size plotter. This works well and reasonably priced.
