Great color for gun stocks
It's dark and shiny. Works really well. Takes awhile to dry being oil based.

Lots of oil, very little pigment
This stuff didn’t work for me at all. I used quarter sawn white oak. Sanded to 220 grit. Stirred stain so it was in full suspension and applied to wood. Waited about two minutes and wiped off to reveal a sand colored finish! It’s supposed to be dark walnut. It looked like motor oil going on and was very very thin. Tried going over a piece dyed with a red dye first and I could barely see a difference between the piece with dye (full rich color) and the dyed/stained piece. Horrible experience with “ premium stain”. Will not waste money again. Oh yea I tried a piece of soft pine too and the color was so weak I thought it was danish oil without the benefit of danish oil. Save your money. I guess I’m going back to dyes again.

Beautiful dark stain
I tried othersrains none were dark enough. This is beautiful. I took an old piece of leftover wood left outside sanded it lightly and stain it with this dark walnut , using a spinge brush instead of a staining rag. Wow. Wood is beautiful ready for my cricut vinyl sign making

Smooth waterproof finish. Soaks in nicely and provider nice looking water an stain proof protection
It is a nice stain and it waterproofs nicely. It's not a high gloss finish I even used it on a fiberboard counter in a dark room where it was exposed to mild acid of the developing chemicals. It didn't even get stained. What is sheerness?
