runs large - beautiful, functional, sun hat
had to return the first one, it was huge based on company's measurements, the secong one fits perfectly - they also sent 3 little foam "sizing pads" to place in the inner rband to tighten the fit - evidently I wasn't the only one who was swimming in the hat - thanks for your excellent return policy Amazon - great sun hat, nicely ventilated so it's perfect for these hot sunny Virginia days

Fit runs large, so order down one size. The material is thick and sturdy, so it's good for spring and fall weather. Construction and quality are good. The included foam pads help to get the perfect fit. With a snug fit, it won't blow off in the wind. There are interior wires around the brim, so you can bend it to whatever shape you prefer and it will stay in that form. It's a good hat, but a little stiff and not as comfortable as some others.

Very Aussie
I was looking for a Western-style hat that resembles the fedora worn by Kwai-Chang Caine in the TV series "Kung Fu." While there doesn't seem to be any more of them available, this hat resembles it somewhat, and with a wonderful Aussie flair. The sides of the brim are turned up slightly. I tried it with the sides flat, but it does not look as good. The front and back of the brim turned down looks very Aussie. Great hat for warm days. I wish it had a neck lanyard, though, but I'm sure I can put one on myself.

Wire in brim
The hat looks and fits like everything I wanted! But the wire in the brim of the hat is awful. It’s a rookie move. Also the crown of the hat is crazy stiff. That said, I am going to keep it and hope the stiffness can be washed / worn out. I plan to take the wire out of the brim. I suspect in about 6 months, I will love it or throw it away. The claim that it’s “packable” is not true! Put this hat in a suitcase and it will be a wired crushed mess.

Amazon refunds are questionable at best.
Item was fine but size was running large and had to return and reorder. All went well with return and reorder, but Amazon indicated the returned hat costs have been refunded and they have not and it has been close to a month now with no credit return to our credit card. Have no way to communicate with Amazon on this return and lack of refund. So looks like I am paying double for the Dorfman Hat. Shoping through Amazon is questionable for me at this point.
