These worked so well on my coarse, 2C-3A waves/curls. I’d over proteined my hair with a different product and it was BRITTLE. Nothing was working to bring it back to normal, so I was trying everything. I used this product years ago when it first came out, back when I used to straighten my hair and got good, shiny results. I can’t remember now why I stopped using it, so I thought I’d take a chance on trying it again. These brought my hair back to life! I’m so impressed.

I've been on a hunt for a new brand lately being that Hair Food decided to triple the price of their 17.9 ounce bottles of avocado/argan, making it almost $60 for shampoo and conditioner. NO THANKS! I'm sick to death of companies becoming too big for their britches and becoming greedy to an unrealistic degree lately. Unfortunately that was what I used for years for my fickle fine/medium blonde/sombre hair that doesn't hold up well in hot and humid Oklahoma summers. I saw the Giovanni brand at TJ Maxx and decided to look into them myself. After debating for about a week on what brand and variety to try, I decided to try the Ultra Revive because it described exactly what I'm looking for in a product. I ordered the shampoo/conditioner and the Ultra Revive serum. I wasn't expecting much and saved the tape from the bottles expecting to send it back. Usually if its moisturizing and smoothing enough, its too heavy for my hair. That's what I loved about Hair Food because it didn't do that. It took ONE wash/style with this duo for me to throw the tape away and rant and rave to everyone I know. First of all, these products smell delicious. Very fruity/tropical/creamy/fresh without being overwhelming. The shampoo lathered very nice and washed all the product from my hair with one wash. The conditioner was thick and provided instant slippage and could feel the moisture replenishing my hair. The conditioner rinsed extremely clean [what I also loved about Hair Food and was worried I wouldn't find this feature again] and my hair detangled very easily. The difference came when I dried my hair. My hair dries very frizzy [even when I used my former love Hair Food], but heat styles very smooth and glossy. My hair dried with volume but with a considerable amount of frizz less. My hair felt squeaky clean, moisturized and straightened extremely glossy with volume. Today we've had a very warm and humid day and my hair has held up beautifully! My hair felt just as clean as it did last night! My serum arrived today [smells like Hawaiian Tropic] so I used a very small amount on my dry hair and ran my straightener through it. It locked in the smoothness and feels and looks incredible! I'm so glad my first attempt to find a replacement for my extremely overpriced former product line was a success! Might order a more cleansing shampoo by this brand to use once a week just to clarify when I use more products than usual, but DANG MAN, I'm telling everyone, and I'm telling everyone I turned on to Hair Food to make the switch!!

I was very surprised about these products. I have long wavy hair that needs special attention to frizz. It actually works really well. The real test was the conditioner…. Leave it in for the duration of your shower then rinse out. I recommend trying it.

I LOVE this brand's pineapple hair serum so decided to try their shampoo and conditioner, especially when I saw the reasonable price. The scent is wonderful! Bananas? Coconut?I don't know, but it smells tropical and good enough to eat. Lathered well. Feels rich. The combination of the two leaves my hair shiny and soft. I rotate my shampoo and conditioner products throughout the week. I have to wash my hair daily, and all brands, including the expensive ones, tend to build up if I use the same one every single day. I can tell this would be no different. Used every two or three days, and it's absolute perfection for me.

It leaves my hair soft and shiny. I am very pleased and will likely buy again!

I definitely like the product, the only complaint is; when I received the product I received 2 shampoos instead of 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner. I was upset as it bought as a set and not as a deal for two!!

I wish there had been reviews about the smell so here is one. I love the smell, the shampoo is like banana and pineapple, and the conditioner smells like coconut. I wish they smelled the same but still a nice combo. I love the 2chic line, they all leave my hair feeling heavy but not this one and that’s exactly what I was looking for. Super soft nice hair but not heavy and greasy.
