Why rebuild or pay a shop
Bought this for my mal-functioning lawnmower that had the carb gunked up over the winter. Why spend hundreds to have it repaired or even as much for a rebuild kit. This kit came with all I needed (and then some). Great value and the installation was easy, even for the novice with minimal tools. It was a quick especially since I didn’t have to take to and pick up from a repair shop or spend time on the rebuild…easy off-easy on, very quick

All I can say is wow...
I figured it was cheap so what do I have to lose... It was my dad's old mower and it's been sitting in my barn for 15 years. I may have used it way back to cut areas inaccessible with my tractor but it's been a LONG time.Dug it out and took it apart only to determine the carb was long past gone. Got some part numbers and ordered the kit. Really simple fix, had everything in the box and the only mod was opening the hole a tad on the plastic carb linkage because my governor rod was a bit tight and binding.Aside from changing the oil, getting the wheels rolling and the handle to move for the flywheel brake, I proceeded with some skepticism. But I was willing to try.THREE PULLS!!!! Runs perfect!!! I am one happy man and my dad's old mower is running like a finely tuned cutting machine again!

Drips gas and won’t start after one mow
I purchased a used lawnmower (6.5 hp Briggs self propelled) that had been sitting a few years to give to my sister and niece so they would have a self propelled mower rather than just a push mower. I made sure the gas tank was clean and installed new fuel hoses and even added a fuel filter. I purchased this carb on Amazon thinking it’s better to just throw on a new card rather than mess around with the old one(it was varnished in the fuel bowl). The new carb arrived soon so I installed it immediately, filled the tank with fresh clean ethanol free gas. I mowed my yard and decided the mower would be good to give her. Then in a few days I took the mower to my sister and niece. Immediately We noticed gas was dripping out around the carb inlet after she filled the mower with fresh ethanol free gas. It took lots of pulls to start but finally started up. She mowed a couple strips and the $&@4;?,.! mower died and wouldn’t start. Crank and crank no start. Let it cool off for 15 minutes noticed gas dripping out the carburetor inlet. Crank and crank ?$)5&;:!@: carburetor leaking gas and won’t start. (Five stars to get your attention, should be negative star).I will remove that carburetor and get another one. I’m sure the manufacturer produces good enough products but this particular carburetor let me down. Oh yes, the fuel tank vent is not clogged. Coil or spark plug issues, no again, neither would make it drip fuel. If it’s quacks like duck it’s probably is a duck, same for a leaking carburetor.

Amazing deal
Everything I needed to being my mower back for another few years of service. Replacement took half hour since I have never done this before. Spark plug didnt require spacing, and kit came with an extra gasket too. DO NOT FORGET to remove the plastic plug on the air filter box!

Did not seem to work as it should.
I pulled my walk behind weed eater out of the garage having a vague memory of it not working a few years ago when I tried it last. I figured that like most small engine issues I've dealt with - it was probably a gummed up carburetor and these days a new one is less than $30 - so I ordered this replacement. Easy fix - I thought. When it arrived I installed it and was confused that the engine did NOT run well with it. I don't know all of the proper terminology so it is hard to describe small engine symptoms... but it sort of stuttered along at an idle and would not run smoothly. I was sure that I had done something wrong on the install - and so took it off - checked everything to make sure that the moving parts moved, put on a different spark plug just in case that was the issue, put the carb back on and started it again. Same issue. It just kind of barely ran. In a last ditch effort, I put the old carb back on to see what it would do - and was surprised that it ran flawlessly. Which of course made me wonder why I didn't test the thing out right away before buying the new carb. But in any case - bottom line is that the carb that was sent to me, even though it looked identical in every way to the original one and appeared to be in good shape, did not work at all. In the end I'm not positive what the issue is - but the evidence points to either a poor quality product or poor quality assurance testing at the factory.

Mowers Runs Great!
2006 6.5 hp Craftsman 21" Mulcher mower. Mower was starting and would die right away. I took the carb apart and noticed the float was setting at about a 45 degree angle and would not open the needle and seat. I bought this new carburetor opened the bowl to check the float and is was working correctly where the float would set level and the needle and seat functioned properly. Put this carb on and the machine runs like a beast now. better than it has since first buying the mower. There are several of these carbs on amazon, I chose this one because it had exact dimensions in the description so I was able to measure and complete before I completed the purchase. This came with gaskets, spark plug, air filter and filter case with pump button and hose. Very easy to replace. I am happy with this purchase and would buy again.
