The Very Best of the Doors Version

The Very Best of the Doors is a great compilation. I am glad I went for the Import version. The bonus songs on the Import version just add to an already strong collection. The sound is definitely enhanced by the remastered original multitrack recordings, giving greater depth to the songs. There are many best of compilations and box sets available covering the Doors legacy. However, this set is better than most. This set is a must for adoring fans and a great starting point for new ones.

All the hits are here and then some. Great sounding discs!

Great Collection on this import version. Fantastic sound. Bird of Prey is a bit of a throw-away in my humble opinion but the rest is SO good that I went out and purchased the entire Doors catalogue within 2 weeks of owning this. Texas Radio and the Big Beat never sounded so BIG. Wonderful.

I remember the Doors and their music through my older brother who was a big fan. This cd brought back many good memories from my early years.

It's the Doors, what can I say. The Morrison mystique lives on. The music captures a time when things were shaken-up and changed...when war shattered this country and "This is the End" was a metaphor for Vietnam and a post World War II Norman Rockwell fairy tale. Say what you will about Morrison's personal life, his music, that of the Doors, has always resonated with me.

Great sounding cd. Received it damaged in the mail though
