Germs Are Not for Sharing (Board Book) (Best Behavior Series)

Read before preschool starts! Game changer.
I started reading this book to my toddler when he started learning how to wear a mask. He was about 2.5, and we had a lot of the other books in the Best Behavior series. They really resonate with him, and he wants to read them all the time. I totally forgot about this one until he brought it to me last week. IT’S THE BEST BOOK TO READ BEFORE STARTING PRESCHOOL!!!Thanks to the phrases in this book, he’s been washing his hands and not putting his hands in his mouth as much during class (according to his teacher). I couldn’t be more proud!! He’s understanding *why* we wash our hands, too.Highly recommend it for all ages of toddlers! Hope this helps. 😉

Is much appreciated!
Got his as a gift for a friends five year old. His fingers go "everywhere". She's been trying to teach him about keeping his hands clean and keeping his fingers out of his mouth. She read this to him last night, and he liked it so much he asked that it be read again. I hope it helps him understand how to avoid sickness.

Bought this book at my child’s preschool teacher.
My child’s preschool teacher recommended that I buy her a book to help reinforce the lesson of keeping her hands out of her mouth. I don’t know if it worked just yet, but she sure does love the book at least lol

Important lesson for toddlers
This book is great. Even though it is hard for toddlers to understand germs because they don't see them, just the fact that they see images of kids washing hands and get to repeat "germs are not for sharing" gives them a mantra that creates a healthy routine. My daughter started washing hands better after having this book. Toddlers like to learn and apply rules, even when they seem reluctant at first. Little by little, I started explaining that people get sick due to germs. On one occasion, she didn't want to wash her hands and I reminded her that if she got sick, the other kids at school could get sick too, and mommy as well. So she went straight back to the sink and washed them. She proudly shows me her clean hands and asks me to "smell check" them. It is adorable. I can always say "germs are not for sharing" and she knows what I mean now.

Teaches about germs.
Great book to get my toddler to be aware of germs. However, there is a page that shows that you should not eat off the floor. Now he won’t eat stuff when he drops it.

Great book for encouraging hand washing.
Used for teaching toddlers about the importance of washing hands and other sanitary situations. They love it.

Wonderful Board Books - Clear Messages
This series is great for younger kids or kids that may need some reminders about basic conduct/manners/hygiene. The message is clear and direct, the colors are great, and the words are repetitive enough that they make for wonderful early readers as well. Our autistic son needs these reminders to help him navigate life in public school and he loves these books. These are board books, so they hold up well to the love they will surely receive. This is a personal favorite because hand-washing was not top priority until the kiddos learned about germs.
