Excellent Design That Flopped
Review Edit: Ok, I screwed up. My original review told of the difficulty I had in priming this grease gun. Since then, I have found that I was priming incorrectly. I was leaving the tube partially opened, then using the bleeder and working against myself. Went out today to grease my tractor and found the partially opened tube and kicked my own butt. Tightened the tube, pumped, used the air bleeder, pumped and greased my tractor. LockNLube, I apologize for my error.I had high hopes when I purchased the LockNLube HD Pistol Grip Grease Gun. I have bought their products before with great satisfaction. I loaded up a fresh cartridge and spent the next 45 minutes priming and trying to get it to pump grease. I even pulled out a second grease gun (different brand but with the LockNLube hose) and swapped parts back and forth and the problem stayed with the new LockNLube grease gun. Eventually, I got it working but I'll be durned if I'm going to go thru that hassle again. I have a feeling it is the air bleeder that is causing the problem but I cannot prove my assumption. Both my grease guns are working now but I've lost confidence in LockNLube grease gun. I like the zert attachment for storing ... excellent idea. The LockNLube hose is superb. But I'm going to purchase another brand grease gun and put the LockNLube hose on it. The three stars are for the hose and storage zert, no stars for the grease gun.

Works great with less mess
I don’t know why I waited so long to get one of these. Pistol grip is great and the lock and load fitting worked really well. I was surprised I was able to get it into some small spaces and do it with not a lot of mess or leaking. Priming the gun was easy once I read the instructions. Wish I would’ve had one of these years ago, and I probably would have kept up on the maintenance of my Jeep and tractor better.

It works like it's supposed to.
It might seem expensive for a grease gun, but it works like it's supposed to, without the mess a lot of others make, and without a fight, it's easily the best I've used, and I've used several over the years, at the ranch, at home, and at work, and I'm buying another one,

Just worked...
High quality product at every step. It loaded and primed with no fuss, and I didn't even need to use the release valve. It just worked. Much higher quality than the 'bottom of the harbor' brand. The best part is the quick release - squeeze a lever and it pops off without any drama whatsoever. I've retrofitted all of my other guns with the nozzle already.

Works as it should once primed.
Seems pretty good quality. Has trouble getting primed with royal purple grease tubes. Will try different grease brand next time.

Yep... its a grease gun.
Works as I thought it would. First time buyer for a complete outfit by Lock-N-Lube. Not sure the canister is any different than others. Time will tell. The best part is the locking on the grease fittings.

Will not pull out zerk fittings
Where was Lock and Lube on all of those midnight shifts doing lube jobs on airliners? Aircraft do not have threaded in grease fittings--they press in. Many a time after greasing a joint when I would try to get the grease gun off of the zerk, it would pull it (the zerk) out. Lock and lube just releases. Lock and lube also pulls up straight so that the grease goes in the fitting instead of splooging all over the place. Yes, these work great. The grease guns are also pro quality.
