Best Shredder/Slicer - Super Easy To Use
The hype is real on this grater. Absolutely love it! I never purchase bagged shredded cheese as they always cover it in wax, it feels and looks unnatural, and never melts correctly. I always purchase large blocks of cheese, and this has made shredding a breeze. I have shredded and sliced all kinds of vegetables and some types of sausage and it never fails to get the job done. I love the locking mechanism as it really grips the counter and ensures that operation is smooth. It is super easy to disassemble and clean. Great purchase of good quality.

Quick and easy
I was inspired to purchase this product a few days ago right after I cut my finger on a mandoline.Me: I cut my finger in the kitchenUrgent care med tech (without even looking): on a mandoline?Me: YesSo, this arrived yesterday. It was easy to assemble, it stuck to the counter well, and it easily sliced 5 pounds of beets, carrots, radishes, and turnips. I had to quarter the really thick ones first and it only slices to one thickness, but it was fine. Also, I didn't cut my finger! (Although I probably still could if I were careless, especially when washing it, so always be careful.)There were aboutt a dozen of these on Amazon that all looked the same, and I picked this brand by eenie meenie miney moe. No regrets. The blade or the suction cup might wear out eventually, but the cost to replace is still better than cutting my finger again. I might get really excited and grate some cheese later on.

For those that love fresh grated cheese (and the skin on their knuckles.)
I don't leave many reviews, but this grater is amazing! No matter how careful I am with a traditional cheese grater, my hand always slips and at minimum I break a fingernail and at worst take a chunk out of my knuckle. It assembles easily, washes easily (I hand wash mine), and grates a big 'ol block of cheese in seconds. If you're grating a softer cheese just reach in and keep pulling it out, if it seems like it's backing up inside the well. I'll never use a traditional cheese grater again. Wish I would have bought this a long time ago, I hate having a zillion gadgets in my kitchen, but this one is a keeper!

Be nicer if the base was taller
Use this several times a week, it is very simpl to put together or take a part to clean. Its very easy to clean, you just pop it in the dishwasher. However, you can't grate the cheese too fast or the cheese will not automatically come out of the cylinder, it will get clogged up. The quality is not that great, feels like it's going to fall apart sometimes, but it never does. It definitely sticks to counter very easily. Unfortunately, the base is very short. And so you have to have a short bowl to catch the cheese, which in turn means you have to empty the bowl often to finish off a block of cheese. Other than that, it is extremely convenient and the blades are sharp.

How did I live so long without this?
What a great invention! I came across this style cheese shredder after being sick and tired of skinned knuckles from a manual grater. Enough, I said. Found this and thought, what the heck. It was a little on the pricy side for a cheese grater, but then I started using it and fell in love. I'm quite the foodie and we love out cheese - nothing like fresh shredded vs the packaged stuff with all the additives. The size of the unit isn't horrible so it fits in one of the lower cabinets with other gadgets. The quality of the unit is good, unsure how long it will last as it's almost all plastic. This one has 3 blade types so you can grate to suit your recipe. I don't know how versatile it will be, but I may experiment on softer veggies and such. One of the things that got dinged on reviews is the grip - I found if you have a smooth CLEAN surface, the grip is wonderful. Thinking people might be trying to get good suction on a textured or uneven surface. I've found it's almost difficult to break the seal once you are finished and ready to clean up. Really love this gadget, hope it lasts a long time!

Works great!
I used this immediately to make buffalo chicken dip and the only problem I had was needing to check to make sure the cheese didn’t back up because it wasn’t falling in the bowl, but that was on me. It stuck to the counter, shredded quickly and was easy to put together as well as clean. It also stores nicely and I put it in a storage container with all of the pieces so it’s ready to go! I’ll update if there are any problems with other items.

So far so good, will update
Just received this yesterday, putting it together was a snap for sure, I haven't gotten to use it yet, but wanted to do a quick review which I will update after I use it tomorrow. It is very pretty and you will most likely want to leave it completely assembled on your counter top if you chose a color that goes with your kitchen. One word of caution though, when you lock it in place, it will only suction to things like glass, ceramic, marble, etc. It would not suction to my countertop. Luckily one of my cutting boards is a type of material it will suction perfectly too which is great.
