2 x 10” Carbon Block Coconut 0.5 Micron High Grade Water Filter These 0.5 micron carbon block filters, fit all 10” industry standard slimline housings - These are commonly used on under-counter water filter systems, reverse osmosis units and various types of aquarium system. Most carbon block cartridges in the UK are regular coconut grade carbon 5 micron and for day to day applications these will offer excellent chlorine removal and generally be considered fine for the vast majority of drinking water applications. These 0.5 micron filters though are much finer - And have a higher affinity to removing suspended solids (the hole size is ten times smaller than a regular filter) as these are sintered as well. Sintered carbon blocks use less binder and therefore contain a higher ratio of carbon to volume, and, as such a higher surface area for filtration. This greatly increases the efficiency of the filter, allowing more water through without any loss of filtration performance, minimising pressure drops whilst assuring filtration remains as intended. Suitable for cold/cool water use only - 3 degrees C to 30 degrees C Removes : Chlorine, dissolve s, THMs, VOCs and sediment to approximately 0.5 micron This pack contains 2 filters.
