This rice is wonderful. It is nearly impossible to find a packaged yellow rice without yellow # 5 or MSG or soy protein isolate, but this one has none of that. However, the packing material is incredibly annoying It is as bad as packing peanuts. And while the awful little cardboard triangles are recyclable, and likely eco-friendly, my curbside recycling would not take them today and said they all had to be smashed down. Who has time for that? Seriously, I almost gave you a 3 star rating because of these things. And it didn't even need that much packing material anyway or the outer box to be so huge in comparison to the inner box. But the product is excellent and I didn't want to be unfair, so you still get five stars.

My 8 yr old grand made this quite successfully, following the directions on the box, leaving out the optional oil. It's a little too spicy for the 5 yr old grand, but the rest of us enjoyed it very much for a weekday, off-school lunch at grandma's. Nutritional as well. Nicely chewy. Good flavor.

This is my third order of Lundberg Beans and Rice. My family and I love them and use them as a side dish or a main meal with the addition of sausage or even hot dogs chopped up in the pan. I usually cook 2 boxes at a time then add another can of beans to the pot and some more hot sauce. I'm a guy and if I can make these you can too. I highly recommend these.

Ordered this in January 2022. Didn't look at the expiration date; it was expired in November 2021. When we cooked the first box, it smelled and did not taste right. Had to throw out product.

Lindbergh Organic Spanish Rice is a favorite in our family.
