If, like Mr Bolan, all you want is easy-action, this tin opener's for you.The action is much smoother than any other I've owned, helped in part by the superior leverage afforded by the huge turning handle/crank/key (whatever it's called - you know what I mean).Even my son, who has the fine motor skills of a hippo & can't use a knife & fork without disaster striking, was able to access baked beans with this chunky monkey!It's also easy to clean by hand thanks to the fact it opens right out and it doesn't appear to be phased by the dishwasher either.As an added bonus I discovered last weekend that it also opens bottles (not by itself obviously....it's good but it's not magic)I can't comment on longevity yet as only had it for 6 months, but so far it's head & shoulders above any other I've had including the OXO Good Grips.

A good simply designed, well made solid tin opener at last! Buy and forget..this works and will last ages. Highly recommended.
