BURTS BEES Cocoa Goodness Glows Liquid Makeup, 1 FZ

This makeup is wonderful. I’ve used Bare Minerals for the past 4 years with occasional use of Becca when I needed a full coverage foundation. Those are both great products but they’re also quite expensive. I decided to try this, despite having a history of allergies to an ingredient in other Burt’s Bees products. I am so glad I did! I apply with a wet Ecotools beauty blender. It goes on smooth and evenly and it stays on all day. It has just enough glow to it that it looks healthy without looking shiny and it is definitely full coverage. I have very fair skin. Most companies don’t even make shades light enough for my skin but the porcelain matches and it covers the redness I tend to have in my cheeks. Love it! I will continue to buy and will definitely recommend.Also, the mascara and eyeliner are both great as well!

loving this and here are the many reasons why along with a con or two that I can easily deal with. Years ago I saw a magazine ad with Halle Berry wearing caramel from Revlon and I found that color was perfect for me while nutmeg worked for my twin. Now this Chestnut matches the Revlon caramel pretty well so it was such a relief to find this! Now, after reading many reviews I was hesitant to buy this but as I said, and can't say enough, I'm really glad I did. That said, there are some things I've had to adjust too. One is that if you sweat or get wet right after applying it you will see it run a bit. I've fixed that by not waiting to applying it right before leaving the house and just dabbing gently with my fingers otherwise. But, once it sets it works well and it lasts all day - for me at least - and I don't apply any powder although I use a little Bare Minerals Warm Tan on my cheeks and highlight a bit as that color is reddish whereas my undertones are yellow.I prefer a natural look, not thick makeup, and this does that while evening out my complexion nicely. It also kind of makes a small scar I have less noticeable if I cover that twice. It's not really meant for serious cover up but it works for me as I'm not bothered enough by the scar to do anything else to hide it.As far as applying it I started with small spots as other reviews recommended but now just do my face in quarters and let the foundation sit on my scar while I do the rest of my face and then I blend that in last and add an additional dab.I really am pleased with this product. I'd been using Bare Minerals but have never ever found a color to match my complexion so was mixing their Golden Tan and even turmeric with the Warm Tan. I tried Zuzu's bronzer this summer and liked that well enough but not enough to use as my regular foundation plus this is less expensive. I can by three of these for the price of one Bare Mineral container and almost for the one Zuzu compact (got the Zuzu from Whole Foods).Finally, there is indeed a smell when you apply it but it fades quickly. I was afraid it would smell horribly and last for a while but decided to risk it and I'm glad I did because it just isn't a problem. Also, it washes off so easily, water and Dr. Bronner's soap! In fact, I like this so much that I wanted to leave a review the same day it arrived after I tried it but the review option was't available for me to do so when I tried. So I've been using this for several weeks now, almost a month I think, and I won't be looking for a replacement. In fact, I can't applaud Burt's Bees enough as I tried their Redwood Forest lipstick and loved that, if I blend it in with a finger after applying it.Oh, my skin is just normal, a tiny bit oily on the nose but the make up's so natural, so like my skin tone, that I haven't seen it fade noticeably and also it holds up when I've blown my nose - hope that's not TMI.If you hesitate to try this because it comes in a two pack you can buy one for $15 elsewhere. I did, and that's not such a loss if you don't like it. Ultra in my area of Cincinnati, OH didn't carry it unfortunately.Overall, for this organic, gluten free, sugar free, natural loving, brown skin, African American girl, if you will, it works beautifully and I highly recommend it.

I just tried this yesterday. At first I thought it too thick. Use a damp sponge to apply and a primer works well under it. After using it I noticed how well it covered without looking caked or dry. I am 68 years old and I didn’t set it with powder. It doesn’t take a lot to do the job. After we visited my granddaughters and as teens I asked them what they thought. They said they couldn’t tell I had makeup on and they really liked it! I’d say that is a pretty good endorsement right there! They do a beautiful job with their own make up. One thing I really want to praise is the fact that it stays on! I didn’t have to touch it up even after hours! I chose the natural beige and did use Tarte Tape I think it’s called under my eyes. I didn’t notice that much of a glow as it claims but I loved the natural look of it. I’ve used True Match for a long time but this is far more natural. Think I’m sold on it! Give it a minute to set and observe again. It’s worth a try for sure. I used a cream blush and it blended beautifully!

Super disappointed. The color was spot on, but unfortunately the pigments separated on my skin immediately after applying (even with vigorous shaking). It's definitely not full coverage. It looks great from far away, but up close it looks heavy and greasy. I wanted to love this so badly, but it just didn't work out.

I have more naturally oily skin. And while I choose to not use products that limit my natural oil I also don't love products that create even more excess oil. For that reason I am giving it 4 stars.I do love the product for how natural it is and the fact that it doesn't have a chemical smell to it like other off-the-shelf brands. This particular brand of foundation also washes off extremely easy with just water and does not require a harsh soap for removal!It's very blendable and the bottle of product itself is huge! I should also note that I have very sensitive skin that is prone to acne and this is one of the few brands that does not irritate my skin!

I really liked how this foundation felt (and smelled) on my skin. (I have very, very, very dry skin; and I like more natural scents so I have no complaints there). It was very dewy and surprisingly long lasting. I have light/yellow undertones, even though I am Latinx so I'm always picky with foundations, but I thought this foundation was a decent fit. It set a bit darker than it looked in the bottle, so perhaps next time I will try a shade lighter.A few things to note: I wouldn't recommend using this with a wet blending sponge bc you might get smearing/splotching. Same thing with setting spray, sadly. I was also unsure of which shade to buy online, so I went to the Burts bees website and used their foundation shade finder. It was a decent estimate, but they also have a limited shade range.

Es una pena porque uso varios de los productos de la marca y quería cambiar a un maquillaje más natural. Sólo la probé una vez y no se distribuye uniformemente, se quedan rayas marcadas, se siente pegajosa en la piel y al pasar las horas se hacen grumos de maquillaje en la piel. También tiene un olor desagradable.

Esto es la más grande forma de tirar tu dinero a la basura , es el peor producto de la historia.

Es un tono amarillo total, pero si queda luminoso

El maquilla esta increíble, no se siente pesado.
