Excellent, so far :-)
Let's face it - electric blankets, no matter what brand or manufacturer, are generally a low reliability item. We all love 'em when they work, but it is very difficult to find one that lasts. I have used sunbeam blankets for many years, and slowly the lifespan of each purchase decreases to the point where if it works after one year, you feel lucky. The last sunbeam king heated blanket lasted only one winter. Fortunately, it was purchased at Costco, which is the best place to make returns. After reviewing Wirecutter and Chicago Tribune Best Reviews, decided to take a gamble on this Beautyrest heated blanket. I can tell from reviews several folks ended up with duds. I lucked out this time, and love this heated blanket. Have been using for 3 months. (Now that I've written this review, you know what will happen) One thing I did differently with this purchase is I got a twin size. Previous have all been kings. Spouse and I need different sleeping temps and only one of us really wanted the heat. So theory is maybe a blanket that is smaller, less wires, tugged and used by only one person will hold out longer? Time will tell.Pros:- Sherpa is fantastic on this blanket. Thick, no shedding. If it "dies" it will still be a good blanket to use normally. That's a plus for the $ spent.- Wires are well woven and hidden/soft to the touch- Does not slide off the bed (like the sunbeam's did. Annoying they would slide to whichever side the nap was directed)- Controller window stays lit. Thank goodness, can actually tell if you have it on or off in the dark. Last sunbeam did not stay lit. (also see con's for more info)- Very fast quick heat option - like 15 minutes - for when you forget to turn it on before bed. Heating very even. Regular heating very good too.- on the twin size, power cord is very nice length. Can't speak for other sizes or dual controls.- Fun color options, thank goodnessCons:- although the controller window stays lit and is easy to read, the off and up/down buttons are not lit, and hard to find in the dark. Some texturing on the buttons to be able to feel arrows, etc would have been nice.- power cord connection has a "lock" feature to ensure it stays plugged in. Basically just a plastic clip. Mine was so tight it would not lock in place until i bent the plastic piece just a bit. It locked in, but the plastic piece is not sturdy - it will probably break off if I unhook and wash the blanket. Next will be duct tape.I'm going to enjoy this while it lasts. Again, if heating stops, it will still be a great sherpa blanket by itself without the power.

Best heated blanket ever!
I've owned many heating blankets over the years but this blanket is the absolute best! It's very soft and thick so even when the blanket is off, it's still cozy and warm. That said, I will be taking this blanket off during the summer because it is just too warm. During a cold night in Michigan this blanket is the best. Highly recommend!

It works !
I've had trouble keeping blankets working, due to quality issues. This blanket has met those needs. Works well. I sleep warm overall, and with 20 settings, which I was looking for so I may have a lower setting. This meets my needs. Blanket is comfy on a king size bed. It is a bit 'slippery' as at times it tends to slip around on bed and making the bed you must 'heave ho' the blanket to straighten it up. I've gone through a whole winter on this blanket. With the 20-settings heat option and it working I am a pleased customer.

Uneven heat distro
I keep trying to find the perfect low EMF electric blanket. This is my second Beautyrest order in two weeks. I'm returned both. The blanket heats in sections instead of all over. I tried different temps (5, 10, 15) hoping the heat would move toward my feet. It never did. The heat only stayed in the top and middle portion of the blanket. Also, though I kept raising the setting, the heat stayed the same as if the blanket didn't know to raise the temp. It's like a brand new blanket was stuck on 5. I'm done with Beautyrest and will try another brand. Such a sad product for a top name company. I guess they should stick to making mattresses.

Finally...One That Works
After purchasing several different brands...I have found one that,(so far), works properly. It does behoove you to do some research and read through reviews in trying to find a warming blanket that is reliable. Bought one at BB&B in April that stopped working after 3 months. Bought a second one with dual controls where only one side would function. Bought one from another big box store and it didn't work right out of the box. Another called Simpliwarm, barely got warm at all and took forever (hours) for it to have some semblance of getting even slightly warm.Though this one may be a little pricier than others on the market...it heats up quickly. It is a little heavier than what I wanted and at first and I thought that 20 levels of warmth was over kill, but play with it and feel the difference between the levels to find a comfort level for you.My TWO COMPLAINTS are that the control read=outs are NOT LED... they are LCD with side illumination from orange LED lighting...but the LCD digital read-out is a bit fuzzy and difficult to read, even with my glasses on. Also, the control settings for length of time is a bit weird. You have to read the overly confusing manual to decipher and figure it out. It is designed to automatically shut off after ten hours, but that is adjustable. The controls could have been simpler as like on ANY of the other brands I tried previously. Obviously, the people that engineered this had over -thought this and made it less user friendly. But it works well with those two exceptions. Let's see if it lasts longer than three months.

Great Heated Blanket
Got this for the wife, she is always cold. Works great and keeps her toasty warm. Blanket is soft and seems to be high quality. The controls take a little bit of a learning curve but after using a few times she adjusted to them. I would highly recommend this blanket to anyone looking for a heated blanket

Soft and Luxurious
The perfect size and perfect colour to use on the couch. Warms up fast and feels incredibly soft and luxurious. It did have a smell to it when I opened the package and I had to wash it twice to get rid of the smell but now it is perfect. I am keeping the thermostat lower now.

Dead, died, gone
Stopped working in February 3 months after it was bought. Cannot get any customer service from the Beautyrest Amazon store or Beautyrest Canada. So much for the five year warranty.

Great Blanket
This blanket is excellent! It works very well. It's soft other than the cords in it but, still soft. It's actually a nice looking blanket. I'm very happy with it.
