I have been searching for a long time for a good spider. I have finally found it. It runs well on short carpet and kids Love it....it is questionable for the dog though....lol

If you like waiting for an item to arrive, with your child enthusiastically jumping up and down when the Amazon truck arrives turning to disappointment, then you should order this tarantula! Seriously folks, the quality of this toy is suspect. Ours came in a nice package, but after unboxing and loading batteries (yes, with the correct polarity) both the controller and the tarantula lights were on. The toy moved for a few seconds and then just stopped. We tried everything, but it won't move anymore. Kinda takes the fun out of the concept, right? Move along folks, there are better toys to be found!

My 6-year-old really wanted a "robot spider" as his chosen purchase with his allowance money. We looked at a lot of spiders, and this one really caught his eye for it's "realism" (if glowing blue eyes are realistic). It runs on wheels but the legs wiggle to make it look like they are moving. It is very easy for him to operate and he loves that it is fuzzy (it does shed a little) and that he can make it spin in circles by holding down the turn buttons. As expected from the reviews the motor is very loud, but my 6-year-old does not care. He has named it "Taranch" and is using the box as a "bed" for it so that it can sleep in his room next to him. He asked if there was a way to give it more than 5 stars.

My son received yesterday for Christmas and he loves it. Large in size with the ability to shut off the remote and spider, as to not waste batteries. My only recommendation to the company is to work on updating the model to make it quieter. It really is loud for a remote control spider. My little guy was hoping to scare people and laugh but it is so loud, it isn’t possible to sneak up on anyone. Otherwise really nice and will only update my review if anything changes as it ages.

The spider doesn’t pick up signal from the remote control unless they’re basically touching. We tried swapping out batteries, putting the spider on different surfaces- nothing worked.

It wouldn't be bad if it weren't for the loud whine of the motor which means victims can hear it a mile away. The controls are kind of primitive as well. You can move left, right, forward and backward but not at the same time.

My son loves animals, and we couldn't resist buying this huge hairy tarantula. It is really disgusting, I would not want to see this thing without being warned that it is fake, man, this is really creepy! It is a lot of fun to play with for all family members, including parents:)

The batteries don’t sit right so have to wiggle them around into place. Once in place it works great! However, came with a worn spot on the side like it rubbed against the packageing. Is also rather loud and turning is sensitive so it’s hard to get it to go straight or where you want all the time.
