ASRock 760GM-HDV Socket AM3+/AM3/ AMD 760G/ DDR3/ SATA2&USB2.0/ A&V&GbE/ MicroATX Motherboard

Pros- cheap- easy set up- easy assemblyCons- manual is little hard to read- older platform- older BIOSI had an extra FX Black and some ram left over from an old build. I picked the mobo up for a side project running a docker host with nextcloud, zimbra, mariadb and gitlab, iRedMail, etc. In some ways this a little overkill. But It's a side project and good server grade stuff is expensive and I'm not running an enterprise so, meh.This motherboard is a no frills, cheap and reliable. It has an older BIOS implementation but it's easy to configure. I'm using Debian Buster as the OS. I had no problems installing linux on this mobo. I did have a problem with getting lm-senors to detect the CPU thermal sensors. The solution is to adjust the auto-generated configuration file. Otherwise, I have had no problems using this as container host. I'm not sure about gaming. I have not really tried to put the system through any serious stress testing, and it's an old enough board that it probably won't run anything new very well.

Great value for my purpose. Had a computer that was about 5 years old with a troublesome motherboard. Installed this board and it booted up on first try with my previously installed Windows 10 complete with all files, programs and settings. Didn't even have to set up BIOS as defaults worked flawlessly.

There aren't too many options for this MB chipset around, much less at this price level. I have to say, a few months into it, I would definitely recommend this one. I have had zero issues with it. It does what it is supposed to, so I won't go on with the tech specs. That being said, I do not overclock at all. I just use it for work and some gaming. I do have the same complaint as the other with the middle PCI slot being completely covered by the card in slot 1. In my case, I have nothing there so it isn't a concern, but do be aware.

Well this board works with my old amd fx chip. runs very stable with 16gb Corsair memory. This is not really for gaming do to low end graphic card but I have played games on steam like team fortress 2 without difficulty. stable motherboard for good old AMD chips. one thing pci express graphic slot made for single thickness card. double wide cards will block pci slot.

Una placa pequeña pero me salvo de apuros, le instale un phenon ii x6 y va todo excelente. Me dio algunos problemas para instalar windows 10 versión 2004, no se si era error de windows por la placa ( que es un poco antigua en cuanto a su fabricación porque esta es nueva) o por el ssd que no aparecía en la lista de almacenamiento recomendado para esta placa (vean siempre la web del fabricante que procesador y ssd son recomendados) el problema lo solucione primero creando particiones en el ssd y formateando con windows 7 luego volvi a la instalación de windows 10 y se instalo sin problemas (primero elimine las particiones y deje solo una). No olviden crear un usb con rufus en la opcion uefi y bios.Sobre las temperaturas eleveadas que marca la placa base mas de 100 grados creo que es error del lectura ya que al ser una placa vieja puede estar dando malas lecturas, para salir de dudas utilicen un termómetro, el cpu va a una temperatura de 30 grados.

This board works great but when you put a gtx 660 on the board it covers the pcie slot so you can't put a wifi card in

I needed to review the AMD FX-6100 https://amzn.to/2PcoKoU in 2020 and got this as my motherboard. No problems with it at all and super satisfied with X-boost. Will buy again if the opportunity arises. I'm not an overclocker so this was fine.

EDIT Nov 15 2020: 9 months old, and will not boot today. Checked everything - PS OK. Mem OK. CPU OK. Looks like motherboard is dead. Disappointing.(Fast shipping, with good packaging...small box in bigger box. Size is micro ATX, about 8"x9". Replaced a failed M5A97. Works as expected with my old FX4300 cpu and ddr3 ram. However, I had to make a boot USB to load W10 from my GPT HDD, since this board has a BIOS which cannot read GPT, (my old system was UEFI).Search - "booting-windows-7-from-a-gpt-disk-using-bios-firmware-non-uefi"On board video is AMD3000. Video driver on supplied cd failed to install. Win10 driver works, but has no configuration options. Video mem is set in BIOS. Max W10 resolution is 1280x768 in W10...good enough for my 20" screen. Ubuntu 19 loaded with 1600x800 res. Go figure.This pc is NOT for gaming. The 3 video connectors are a plus. My monitor is vga only.Also worked with FX4200, 125 watt cpu.)
