On Christmas my grandsons, who are three and four, fought over this toy! They had so much fun.

Awesome toy! After buying one for my son, I ended up buying two more; one for my wife and one for myself. Expect to laugh and enjoy these soft hitting toys that harmlessly bounce off their intended targets. Light foam balls with loud popping sound provide hours of fun. Where were these when I was a kid.

I purchased the dog version of this popper as a gift for my daughter after a traveling several months ago. She was 8 at the time, and my son was 7. After I looked at it, and saw exactly what it was, I thought "Wow, this is going to be an absolute BLAST" for my kids and for my husband and I. I couldn't wait to get home and have an all out pop ball war... So upon returning home, I immediately purchased several other models of these poppers, bear, moose, pig, etc.. and several additional ball sets in different colors so we could keep them separate. I even purchased one for my daughter's best friend so there wouldn't be any fighting over them, and everyone would have one and could just go at it, having a pop ball fight. I really envisioned this being a massive hoot! My husband and I had the most fun with it I think. The kids played with them initially for a couple days but now no one ever touches them! I'm actually amazed by this as the toy seems to be just so dang fun! My son somehow keeps pushing the little foam balls too deeply into the hole causing us to have to dig them out and once this happens, the balls have small pits that won't allow for the right amount of suction, where they won't pop out right, so they're basically ruined. Really, my two kids, as well as my daughter's best friend, never use them at all anymore, and never really did. They are the kind of kids that like to take all the beanie baby collection (about 100)and have huge throw wars with them with my husband which makes my house look like a beanie massacre occurred, so they are definitely into playing in this manner. So I don't actually get it... But these pop ball toys are not used, and even if I suggest having a pop ball war, they just aren't into it... So I have no idea... I guess this isn't actually a useful review, but I guess I would suggest not doing as I did, buying one of each model and ball sets in every color made, right off the bat. See if they like them first and then...

I got this, and the Hog Wild Moose, for my kids for Christmas, along with a refill pack of poppers. Huge hit with everyone - the poppers are pretty small and a bit harder than Nerf balls, so they have some oomph to them and you can definitely tell when you've been hit but it doesn't hurt. These are one of the few Christmas gifts that didn't lose their novelty - it's been over a month, and these still are used for stealth attacks by everyone in the family.

This is my 2nd order. My only concern is that each one came with a ball in the mouth of the animal, creating a minor problem. After removing the ball from the mouth, there is a crease around the circumference of the ball because it has been in there a long time. So, 5 balls are ok, but 1 is weakened. They should leave ALL 6 balls in the pouch. Otherwise, the toy is loads of fun. I use it for playtime during children's Sunday School.
