Australian Bush Flower Remedies

Recently, I puchased roll on perfume made by LucyB brand. After reading roll on's ingredients, I realized that all essential oils used in the roll on come from Australian plants with very unusual names. I started researching them not just because of their exotic names, but because I was curious to find out what they look like. To my surprise, I came across Bush Flower Remedies web site that is created by Ian White, famous Australian naturopath who is 5th generation herbalist in his family. Not only are these flowers specific to Australian continent but the Aboroginals have been able to determine their medicinal powers and use them for healing purposes. Mr. White, after being thought by his family members about these plants, compiled this book that explains every single flower: what the flower looks like, which part of the Australian continent it can be found in, what negative energies and emotions they can heal and what is the outcome of the healing.I found book facinating and plan to keep it in my library amongst books I have that are related to aromatherapy. Now the hardest thing is to figure out the way to get my hands on some of these essential oils. I also need to find out a book from Mr. White that will help me understand and learn how to make these remedies myself, in form of sprays, massage oils or any other techniques.The only shortcoming I see in this book is that flowers are drawn as sketches in black and white. I wish they came in full color. I saw some any of them on the web in their full beautiful, rich colors and it is too bad that they are not presented like that in this book. It would give this book more beauty in the way of presentation.Mr. White in the book introduction mentions Dr. Bach who is one of the first herbologists that started compiling medicinal properties of the plants and flowers and creating herbal remedies for various emotional and spiritual ailments. If you ever buy Bach Remedies at Whole Foods or any other similar stores, this book will complement beautifully what you already may know about Bach Remedies and you will learn so much more about the exotic plants from Australia and New Zealand.
