Community on Blu-Ray - Almost Perfect
Holy cow, I never thought I’d see this box set. It makes sense, given that Dan Harmon (rightfully) blew up with Rick and Morty recently, so I’m assuming they wanted to capitalize on his popularity and get this new HD box set out there. It’s a big win for Community fans, and hopefully it inches the right people toward getting the movie made.First, the bad news...* The slipcover it comes in is terrible quality. Check out the photo attached to this review. It’s way too big for the three cases that hold the Blu-Rays. Because there’s so much give, the slipcover got beat up a lot during shipping.* It’s randomly missing some features from the DVD releases. I’ve owned all the DVD sets and watched them religiously throughout the years. I noticed there were some featurettes from Season 2 missing. After looking online, I found a post that detailed the special features that aren’t in this set. Here are the special features that are missing:- “The Paintball Finale: From Script to Screen” Featurette- “Creating Wonderland” Special- 2 Animatics for “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas”This is 30-45 minutes of special features missing (I think - just spitballing this number). Not a big deal for most since I feel like not a lot of people even care about special features, but still a bummer nonetheless. All the other special features from other seasons appear to be present, like deleted scenes, commentary, bits, etc. There’s a lot of comedy gold to be found in these extra features, be sure to check them out if you haven’t. Keep in mind that these special features are in standard definition 480i quality though, which is standard for Blu-Ray upgrades these days.As for the good? It’s Community in 1080p for $60. That’s an amazing deal. Before today, the only way to see this in HD goodiness was to either stream it or buy a digital copy for an absurd amount of money. I actually did buy it on iTunes at one point and it cost me over $150 for the whole series at the time (I think each season was $25-30). This box set is such a good deal for such quality television.Another major plus is that season 6 includes Dan Harmon’s commentary. This was exclusive to Yahoo’s streaming service, which was shut down not too long after season 6 concluded. When that service was shut down I was worried that I would never get to hear those commentaries again. They weren’t included on the DVDs or any streaming service, so it’s a great bonus. Keep in mind it’s not very obvious to access these commentaries - you have to play the episode, and change audio until you get to Dan. They didn’t make it very convenient to access it through any menu.Overall, love this box set. Despite the slipcover quality and missing features, the box set is a fantastic value and a must have for any Community fan with an HDTV. Highly recommended.

Great show! But I don't know what's going on at Mill Creek's production facilities...
Let me start off by saying the show itself is great! However...In the first set of Blu-rays I received, 3 of the discs wouldn't play. I also noticed scratches on most of the discs making me think the set was used, even though it seemed factory sealed.I ordered a replacement, but in the new set, there were huge fingerprints on some of the discs that would simply not wipe off (which also had trouble playing as well).Mill Creek, please re-evaluate your manufacturing process. At a minimum, maybe buy your employees some gloves... and perhaps ask them to cut back on the fried food.

I LOVE Community! The series was amazing
I LOVE Community! The series was amazing...this box set, not so much. The "yearbook" was just a small paper insert and I cannot believe you guys just stacked a bunch of DVD's on top of each other with NO separation or protection at all! Really disappointing being it was close to $100. You couldn't even splurge to put those little vinyl inserts in-between the discs so as to not have them damaged within a week?? NOT WORTH IT.

Not the greatest set, but still a worthwhile buy.
I was really excited for this blu-ray set, I love a lot of these episodes and I haven't binge watched this show in a long time, and it would also be the first time I would be able to watch season 6. I had been looking to buy the complete series for a while, but I heard the old DVDs sucked, so I was going to wait for a blu-ray version. And thankfully I didn't have to wait long for it. This set is decent quality, it's not the greatest blu-ray set for a show that I've ever bought, but it's certainly better than the average Mill Creek set release. The video quality is okay, it could have been a little bit better, but it also could have been a lot worse considering that sitcoms rarely get the best treatment when it comes to their home video releases. The sound quality is good, I didn't really notice anything good or bad about it. Yes the slipcover is a little too big, but it's not too bad. I prefer to think of it as space left for a slim case with a movie in it, for a truly complete set, if that ever happens in the future. The show itself is amazing, it was definitely ahead of its time in many ways, and no show has quite been like it since, or probably ever will. But I was surprised at how many great episodes this show had, season after season, until six anyway because I found that I hated that. Even seasons 4 and 5 where a lot of people think it went downhill, there were still a lot of really fun episodes in those seasons. And though I did remember a lot of the great ones, a lot of even the not quite as great ones were also funnier than I remembered. Overall this was definitely a worthwhile buy, I do really enjoy this show and I am really happy that it got a blu-ray release, I do recommend this set.

Review is on packaging alone for the DVD set
The series is great in my opinion. I'm not here to debate that. This is to review the shoddy packaging for the series. I take a little pride in my DVD collection, especially when it comes to the TV series. This has to be the worst packaging idea, ever. Six cardstock like "folders" contain all seasons. 2 DVDS per "folder". They are housed in a "box" with no lid. I seriously thought my item was damaged when I got it. I am really disappointed with the "boxed/boxless" set. I hope that future releases step up the game a bit.

People aren't kidding about how bad this box set is designed
People aren't kidding about how bad this box set is designed. Not even from a scratching standpoint, but simply trying to get the disc you want is a royal pain in the neck since they are all stacked on a single spindle. But if you want the special features like commentaries and outtakes and you ont have my of the seasons, this is a good way to get it all. But it's a poor value when it's not on sale when you consider how little effort was put into the design of the set. You might find a better deal buying the seasons individually and then you wouldn't have scratched, hard to find discs.

Great TV Show, Not Region Locked on UK PS4.
Even though the site says this is region locked to A (US) it is not. I shipped this internationally to the UK and play them with no issues on a UK PS4.Great content and great quality. Box fit isn't snug for the discs however so will bend over time. Also I've seen comments around the blu rays not having all the bonus content the DVDs do. I personally haven't researched this but can confirm there is commentary for every episode.

Best show ever? YES!!
An amazing boxset with great extras! I am in the UK and although it says it is the American region it still worked on my PS4 just as another review states. If you love community get this!

Wait for a new type of box! Series is A+ though
Yay!! 5 stars for the series; but packaging is horrible. It should never have made it to the market. Simply put, the person who thought that a box with a hole in it to stack all dvds was a great idea should loose his or her job. You read well: all dvds, from all seasons, are all stacked together in a circular hole. No protection, no season separators. A hell to simply find the next dvd in the series.

Reasonably packaged
To clarify regarding the packaging: there have been two releases of the full series of Community, one in 2016 and one in 2018. The 2016 release is presumably the one that older reviews are complaining about, where the discs are just stacked on a plastic spindle. The 2018 release, which I bought, ships with six cardboard sleeves, each containing two discs that together comprise a season. Nothing revolutionary, but perfectly functional. The series itself is brilliant, of course. But you probably already knew that.:)

It's nothing crazy
Let me just say this, I am a huge community fan and I was super excited to get this when it came out. What i want to add to this review is that the cases and actual box that it comes in are pretty poor quality. The box was slightly damaged when it arrived and it was made out of a thin cardboard material that is easily damaged. Secondly, the dvds in the cases are stacked onto each other.FINAL THOUGHTS: If you are looking for the dvds on blu ray, great this is it. But if you wanted a nice box and case...This is definitely not it.#SixSeasonsAndAMovie
