Four-Film Collection (Black Mask / Bloodsport 4 / Kickboxer / Kickboxer 2)

Classics that are hard to beat.

My title refers to the previous comments on this set stating that the packaging contained the Black Mask/Bloodsport 4 movies but the wrong disc instead of the Kickboxer 1 and 2 movies. I wanted to add these titles to my collection but was real trigger-shy about hitting the purchase button simply because of the few bad reviews concerning "factory error". I decided to take a chance solely relying on Amazon's good Customer Service reputation and it paid off. The set contains 3 discs. The first being a 2 sided disc Kickboxer 1 and 2 respectively, then Black Mask has it's own disc as does Bloodsport 4. So go ahead the next time you feel "nervous" about making a purchase on Amazon because in the end they will take care of you if you're not satisfied. Happy Shopping! :)

Very good movie

I bought this set for Kickboxer 1 and 2.Even if this set just had K1 and K2 it still would have been worth the $6.99 I paid.Kickboxer has a static dvd menu with a picture of JCVD and Tong Po. The menu gives you access to play the movie, scene selections,subtitles in Spanish and English plus a trailer for Kickboxer 5! The DVD has great PQ. Colours and details are good and it is clear with minimal print damage! The aspect ratio is 1.33:1 or 4.3. I was surprised that a cheap dvd could have such good PQ. The soundtrack is in English Dolby Digital 2.0. It and doesn't have much kick, excuse the pun but is clear and the dialogue is easy to understand.The film is 1 hour and 37 mins long.Kickboxer 2.The PQ is OK and watchable for an old DVD but is of lesser quality than the first,even when upscaled in a BD player. It has a Dolby digital stereo soundtrack and this was a step up in quality compared to the soundtrack on the first film.The dvd menu is static, and has options to play the film, English and Spanish Subs and scene selections. No bonus features except the theatrical trailer for the film. Again the aspect ratio 1.3:1 or 4:3.It is 90 mins long.Both The Kickboxer films are on one disc, Kickboxer on side 1 and Kickboxer 2 on side 2.Black Mask is on its own disc. Has artwork on the disc.It has a static dvd menu, with options for special features (which include tv spots and trailers) scene index, cast and crew and production notes.The PQ is fairly good with minimal print damage, colours are natural. Aspect ratio is 16:9 widescreen.It has a single dubbed English Dolby Digital 5.1 sound track. No subs. I think it would have been preferable to have the original Chinese soundtrack with English subs. The dubbed voices sound ridiculous.It runs for 1:29:27 secs.Bloodsport 4 comes on a single disc with no artwork.It has a static menu.Options are to play feature,scene index,Spanish subs,trailer,actors page and 5 pages of production notes.The PQ is average at best. Aspect ratio is 4:3.The SQ is clear and the track is in Dolby Digital 2.0.Running time is 1:33:49.In Summary without a doubt the best films are Kickboxer 1 and 2. The other two films are very poor in terms of the quality of the actual films. Poor scripts, poor production values,poorly acted,poorly directed,poor dubbing. Bloodsport 4 being the worst. It looked like it cost about ten dollars to make!Overall though the presentation of the set is good and worth four out of five stars just for the two well known martial arts classics. The other two I look at them as freebies, you definitely wouldn't buy the set for them they are that bad.To be honest I don't know why they bothered adding Black Mask and Bloodsport 4 as the set would have been much better off without them. When you watch them it makes you appreciate just how good Kick boxer is.Worth it for The Kick boxer films.

This is a must have four film collection for any martial arts movie fan, the fight scenes are legendary and the action is non-stop. This is on the edge of your seat martial arts action if you've never seen these movies then grab your popcorn and set back to enjoy some of the greatest martial arts action you've ever seen...

Came on time and played as it should

I really only purchased it for "Blood of Heroes" and I haven't checked the issues mentioned in the other reviews. It is on dual sided DVDs which I am not real fond of but it keeps packaging down. The films are in 'Pan and Scan' format which I did not see listed in the item description and would have been a factor in my purchase decision. The image and audio quality is low so it seems it was taken from a "modified for TV" cut of the film. I paid $6.55 for it and I see it is now down to $4.99.Take your $4.99 and go spend it on something else.

This is exactly what you want if you love martial arts, Van Damme, Sasha Mitchell, Jet Li, and Daniel Bernhardt.
