Brand new, used for 20 minutes. Handle just split and cracked and I didn’t even so much as tap a brick down with the handle

Not quite sure how to contact the seller about this.
Received my trowel this morning that I bought for my younger brother who is studying bricklaying, it arrived and the handle is rusty.. not sure if that’s normal or what but I wouldn’t expect it to be rusty being brand new 🤔 would like seller to contact me
