Glad I chose the technics. Excellent.
The media could not be loaded. I like them. I’d read the reviews and all seemed positive about them. Some had said the noise cancellation was not as good as others had stated. I think this is down to getting the correct size earbud (use the app to get best fit by using fit test and it will advise to size up or down) I needed XS. I previously had beats fit pro and the ANC on those was pretty good and they stayed in place during exercise. Reason I changed was due to them starting to fail on one ear.I was worried about the fit of these for exercise as they have no extra but to lodge them in place, but having used them at the gym and about the house, can tell you they work well. Ran on the treadmill for half hour and they stayed in place and the ANC was very good throughout, plus really comfortable. Amazing actually how they do stay in place so well, not sure how, but honestly it’s like magic.Connectivity is very good and simple to use straight out of case. Bluetooth activated automatically and I’ve had no dropouts and they work a good distance from source as well, so truly wireless when doing tasks round the house.Sound quality is very good. Clean and crisp with good bass. I use the equaliser on the app to get somewhere near where I wanted it and then iPhone music settings on late night, which seems to give me what I’m after.I’ve did a bit of DJing in the past and these are better than a lot of high end over ear headphones. Of course sound could always be better, but often that’s down to user set up rather than quality of product. The app is pretty straight forward to use and allows you to change settings and things like what pressing the touch sensitive side of the bud does. The materials used seem pretty high end and good quality, the case could be less plasticky and maybe a finished in an anodised metal or something to give them a real high end feel, but I’d rather they spend the money on the buds than the case and the finish of the case is of a good standard and the led lights are clear and work well, plus the magnets work well to snap them back into place when in the case.Siri works well, just a long press left ear, there may be a way to just speech control to activate, but not found it yet.Call quality is good. The cost is high, but personally I think they are value for the cost and feel like they should last me some time if I look after them ok.I apologise for my big sweaty head, but thought it would be helpful to see them being used and staying in place half hour into a run.I paid for these and glad I chose them, although if Technics do like my review and fancy sending me some freebies, a set of 1210s would be gratefully received and I can dig the vinyl out and relive my youth!

Really, really as good as they say. Not cheap, but if you are after quality, they are worth it
I have been through a few earbuds. Had Bose Quietcomfort 2, Sony WF 1000XM5 and tried them Technics AZ80. In the end I settled on AZ100, and they are the best in my opinion. My thoughts on each:Bose Quietcomfort 2 - the noise cancelling is amazing, way best of all earbuds. They are comfortable and pleasant on the ear, but sound is average. It is warm and bassy, but lacks detail. Pleasant though. Lack wireless charging.Technics AZ80 - almost very good, sound decent and are comfortable, high quality materials and finish, but still lack some detail. Good, but not the bestSony WF 1000XM5 - those were almost my favorite sound wise, the most detailed, could hear tiny little sounds in the background. Bass sounded a bit artificial though, and they had issues with connectivity. During the day would drop signal for split second many times a day (probably due to the fact I carry 2 phones, incl company one) I found it too annoying.Technics AZ100 - clear winners for me. Sound is great, maybe not quite as detailed as Sony, but a lot juicier and powerful and spacious. They are not cheap, but worth the price in my opinion. Just wish the built quality was as nice as AZ80. But love them

Excellent, premium product, fairly priced.
Lightweight, very comfortable and secure fit. Well thought out useful features and app.ANC is excellent, as is the ambient mode.I listen to a lot of music all day via Tidal and my own FLAC files, the sound is highly enjoyable and engaging, its a big sound that wraps around my head, big but clear and well defined bass, they are enormous fun to listen with.LDAC connection stability is solid.I also have the B&W Pi8, Sony wf-xm5, Final ze8000 and have a collection of wired IEMs that cost more than all of these buds, I mention this so you know this is not my first exposure to great sound. The Pi8 and az100 are by far my favourite.

Love the comfort and sound, but problems with replacement ear tips
Wonderful ear buds: sound, fit and comfort is great, and a delight after a series of disappointing high end comparisons. Comfort is very important to me: Sony’s flagship buds are great as far as pure sound is concerned, but fit, ease of handling etc are a disaster for me.My ONLY criticism, but a serious one, is that I’m finding literally IMPOSSIBLE to purchase Technics replacement eartips. The nozzles of these buds are unusually designed, presumably for a purpose. So wanting to buy tips with compatible nozzles seems reasonable, especially as they are so comfortable. But online searches draw a blank, and Technics support doesn’t seem to know its ears from its other parts: they say they are not for sale, or they say they are available from technics suppliers but couldn’t suggest which ones might stock them, and I can’t locate one: they tell me they’ll send me some, but they never arrive! The rubber/silicone ear tips are perfect for me (I find foam incredibly uncomfortable). Imagine a car designer creating a specific feature on a car, but then effectively making spare parts unavailable!Crazy!!Sound, features and comfort are 5 stars: but customer service and support for after care are zero.
