I got this for my husband, as he wanted to try out 3D printing. It was awesome and he had it set up in 20 minutes! It runs smoothly, has a friendly user interface (screen on the printer itself, app, and desktop app).It works well with generic PLA and PTEG filament; you don't have to specifically use Bambu filament, although it feels nice when used. If any problems occur when printing, it will immediately notify you via noises and the touch screen, and it will walk you through the issue and how to fix it. It's easy to print pre-made items and make your own custom prints as well.The price is worth it for a printer that runs so smoothly and has such an easy setup!

TLDR: Easy assembly(very little to do), has an app called "Bambu handy" to calibrate, download and start prints.Even has a camera to do optional timelapses if you want to record your prints.and the best part? The camera can be accessed from the app so you can remotely check how your print is doing, even away from home(with service). Overall great printer and I am having a blast getting it setup!This is my first 3d printer. I have grown up seeing hard to assemble and hard to master printers since I've been a teenager.This absolutely blew me out of the water.For one, its mostly assembled out of the box(some assembly required, although its easy and simple if you follow the manual).For 2 all I had to do to get it working was:a: Assemble the rest of the printerb: Calibrate the printer from the touch screen menu or the "Bambu Handy" application (on Mac, PC or Phone)c: Lubricate one of the printers axis(bambu has easy to follow official video guides for a ton of things, your printer will even show a QR code to scan for easy access to said videos)d: Insert filament into the side hole(the one with the tube you had to attach)e: Clean the print bed with high percentage isopropyl alcohol(common requirement for most 3d printers)Regular printers are way more labor intensive, so I've heard and this was a cake walk.The bambu Handy application even has other peoples 3d models to print for absolutely free!

My Son loves this. We bought it for him for a birthday gift, and it works perfectly and prints fast.

I'm a newbie at 3D printing and I love it. This 3D printer is very user friendly and very easy to set up. The Handy Lab app has hundreds of things to print. I am glad I went with the combo which includes the AMS filament feeder so I don't have to change out the colors. Just make sure to buy filament because the sample pack is very small.

I recently purchased this machine and within a week it was seen to be a waste of my hard earned money... constant issues with the extruder jamming, heatbed / nozzle not working on occasion and more. Then, the "help" feature with Bambu is not help at all unless you are a NASA engineer. The A1 mini and A1 are touted as "beginner friendly," but are more akin to that of "beginner waste of money."

Great printer for printing right out of the box. Good interface allows even young kids to print unsupervised. Very sturdy machines and look very contemporary. Easy to take apart and clean with good quality parts. Great phone/tablet interface with wired or Wi-Fi printing. Software has undergone some recent changes that close a lot of 3rd party tinkering so if that's your plan this might not be for you. It guides you through maintenance and troubleshooting really well. Great beginner printer for all.

Hello - I have a basement workshop as a hobby and for gifts and enjoy CNC router, CNC laser, turning, and many other activities to keep me busy in my spare time and possibly a future side hustle for extra income. I decided to give 3D printing a try and after many online rating searches and videos selected the Bambu A1 Mini with the AMS Lite. I had no experience with 3D printing and wanted something simple to use and enjoyable.Well the A1 Mini fit this need and I have already printed over 50 items in the past two weeks including personalized ornaments, sport team costars, an avatar that I use on the Bambu Community, and my kids favorite, articulated animals. The AMS Lite is great when using 2 to 4 colors in a print and I bought this combo on Black Friday and have no regrets.I have added over a dozen different filaments in PLA, PLA+, Ender PLA, and PLA high speed, and have only had a few miss prints due to my own errors. Next I hope to try different nozzle sizes but so far the standard 0.4 included has been great.I highly recommend the the Bambu A1 Mini with the AMS Lite for the newbie to 3D printing!
