A tasty, affordable easy drinking red
In 'The Hotel Inspectors' episode of Fawlty Towers when Basil ignorantly said of his guests 'they wouldn't know a Bordeaux from a claret' he could have been speaking about me. I'm no wine expert, in fact I'm bewildered by some of the language used by critics to describe the taste of wine and find some of it quite unhelpful, overblown and pompous. However, I do like wine and, I like this wine. I find it fruity, soft and easy drinking. It is also reasonably affordable and in some ways superior to many of the more expensive wines which I have tried but cannot afford to drink on a regular basis. For your regular end of day glass of red you need look no further...recommended.

Nice wine
I was initially slightly sceptical as to how good this wine might be, as it's been quite a few years since I last opened a box of wine as opposed to a bottle, however I have enjoyed drinking this wine. Whilst it's not quite up there with some of the better South African pinotage varieties I've tried over the years, I found Cape Creek to be a pleasant, enjoyable red wine.To my taste buds, I certainly feel that flavours such as blackberry, fig and a slight smoky end-note come through well. There's also a slight peppery taste on the tongue, which I really enjoy. The wine's really easy to pour from the box using the small tap and it also doesn't drip.Food-wise, I've tried it with steak, Vietnamese curry and seafood - and it seems to go pretty well with lots of different meals. All-in-all, a very pleasing wine at a good price, making it a great option for parties or for an affordable "after work" drink to accompany an evening meal.

Perfect for a glass to help unwind!
I know an "Every day" drinking wine can sound a bit contraversial, however I'm sure that there are many people that like to get home from a day's work and have just one glass of wine, without having to waste a bottle. The amount of bottles I've wasted because I haven't got through within 2 days. I have never tried box wine before so I was a little sceptical. However i was HUGELY surprised at how good this is. The best part is it keeps for 6 weeks! Perfect for the one glass a night kind of girl ;-)The taste is actually really good, it's got depth but not too heavy. So if you like a cabernet sauvignon or a malbec then I'd say that you'd love the pinotage.Overall really impressed with this and will definitely venture out to try more boxed wine!

Good value
We like most South African wines. This one, while hardly a premium wine, is a quaffable, fruity Pinotage. They mention strawberry in the description but we thought blackberry or even plum rather than strawberry. It’s a fairly deep ruby colour, pleasantly dry with a little spice and a touch of tannin. The aftertaste has a metallic edge but isn’t unpleasantThere’s a lot to be said for wine boxes, especially if you don’t get through a full bottle once opened. We find them ideal for taking on holiday too, especially cruise ships (not that all lines let you take alcohol on board). At the equivalent of £5/bottle, this easy-drinking wine represents good value and we’d buy it again.

Party four
This wine is perfectly drinkable but does have a distinct citric acidity. I didn't detect the claimed strawberries but I did get red berry flavours. The packaging despite the inner bag not being recyclable is kinder on the environment due to lower weight and therefore transport emissions. It's also incredibly convenient for parties as it is the equivalent of four bottles and has a tap. The wine will keep for at least a week in the fridge after opening. It's easy to be sniffy about the packaging but I was told that a lot of wine comes into the country in larger but similar packaging and is then bottled in the UK. Perfectly drinkable red wine.

More than decent wine
This is a really decent wine: akin to about four bottles which is fair play as it’s a good wine but not a great one. I’m no wine expert, but this must be okay for the following reasons:-I liked it-it didn’t give me a terrible headache-it’s fairly priced-it keeps for a good few weeks- you can do what I did and sneak it into a works do and have a cheap night 😂😂-it’s a box so you can’t smash it!!A nice little wine: highly recommended

Very drinkable wine that didn't leave me with a headache
This is a good value wine that is pleasant to drink.Had some friends round to share in the wine with me and all of us agreed this is a wine we would happily buy and drink again.Often when I drink wine I suffer hangovers with feeling very ill and a splitting headache after however this left me with none of that.Overall a nice cheap end wine that is very easy to drink.
