Can I punch legal size paper for a standard 3ring binder? current one has a nonadjustable guide which won't allow legal paper to center

Hi Megan. I bought this one for legal paper, and it works for our agency. The old one was meant for letter paper, but this one game with an extra portion which allows for legal paper. If you look at the picture, the extra side is meant for the extra length. Hope this helps! We love ours.

Can this be used for index cards?

Thank you for your interest in our Swingline Hole punch. Yes, this product will work on index cards. We recommend using a small amount to ensure that the hole punch goes through accurately. Thank you.

Can it punch a stack of papers that are already stapled? My current one I have to remove the staples before insert into the punch.

Yes. I have stapled stacks of 20 or more pages and it will punch through it easily.
