Easy to use and set up and works a treat tried drying motorcycle boots for 2 days they still felt damp 20 mins on this and they are totally dry and ready for the next rain storm

The first thing I noticed about this boot dryer is that it isn’t that stable especially once heavier trainers are on it and when I knocked it it did topple backwards a couple of times, the design could have done with the unit being heavier for balance. My trainers got wet in torrential rain - first attempt I ran the unit for 20 minutes, one shoe got dryer than the other one as I found I hadn’t put the other shoe onto the unit properly, so it was a lot less dry. After another 20 minutes the shoes were dryer and felt super warm so I took them off and left them. Once they were cool I felt inside and they were a lot more damp still than I had originally thought, this is because the heated shoe gave the illusion that they were completely dry. I then left my trainers to dry naturally. So this dryer helped dry them a lot faster than it would have normally taken just leaving them to dry naturally.The unit itself is quite noisy, the boot drying noise you can kind of tune out like white noise, but the ozone noise is awful. I also wonder how the ozone function works exactly as there was an unpleasant chemical smell produced when I used that function, but the unit is sealed so how is it producing the ’ozone’. If I do ever use this function again I would have to do it in a well ventilated area. The whole unit comes across as cheap and one of the extendable parts won’t stay up by itself whereas the other does. So the drying on this works but, may take quite long if your shoes are really damp, and the unit is more a cheap novelty than a perfect shoe drying solution.

In this case of sweaty feet!The adjustable arms swing backwards and forwards over 180 degrees and the tips of the arms will swing over about 60 degrees, allowing for a variety of shoe boot shapes and sizes. The arms stand 28cm (11") tall, but you don't necessarily need them to reach the tip of the shoes / boots, to be effective.They work by drawing air in from the base of the unit which is heated and expelled from the tips of the arms.The unit appears made from ABS plastic and is rated for 220-240 volts.On the subject of power, the obvious thing is that there is a non fused plug fitted. I would recommend that it is cut off and replaced with a 3 pin plug with a 3amp fuse, for safety. It should not have been supplied with a non fused plug, hence only 4 stars.

I’ve never had anything like this before. This is a huge leap forward from stuffing your wet shoes with newspaper. It is easy to set up and use. You can change the temperature and length of time you blow hot air into your shoe which allows you to adjust how you use it depending on how soaked your shoe has become. The deoderiser function is a nice option and seemed to work on my trainers.However, as has been pointed out by other reviewers the plug which comes with this does not comply with UK regulations and this product should be withdrawn by Amazon. The manufacturer just needs to make a simple change to plugs which are BS1363 compliant and this would most likely be a 4 or 5 star product. Sadly I can only award it 1 star.
