Works nice
Installed on a 2012 passat SEL. Hardest part of the install was running video wire(which wasn’t hard, just a little time consuming ) Other than that, pretty simple. Replaces oem trunk release. fit is perfect and looks oem. This camera was installed at the same time an Eonon head unit was installed. No need for power from reverse lights. Head unit has a power wire for the camera so i just used the power wire that is on the video cable, grounded to a bolt on the trunk. I cut the little green loop wire for the grid lines that everyone complains about. The head unit has its own grid system that works great. Video quality is pretty good for an inexpensive camera. Would definitely recommend.

Clean fit and straight forward install!
Got this for my 2010 vw tiguan, everything was great except the backup rca cable was non functional so i had to take everything apart in the car again and buy a second cable and run it. With the new cable it works great. And I was reimbursed for the second cable. All in all very pleased and would recommend

It ain’t no UHD picture but it’s good for the price
Let’s get this straight, it’s not the ultra high definition but it is a clear picture. I installed in my 13 Jetta se, and it was a perfect fit in the trunk.I’ve read all the reviews and did NOT use reverse light for power! It may not be sufficient power, so I used the yellow wire in the RCA video cable, and took power from a wire in the back of my head unit . I didn’t have to tie into any type of wiring for it to know I put it in reverse. It is kind of tough to see during bright direct light but still can see. The lines do move, not sure how it knows I’m turning but are pretty much useless. Wish you could turn them off.I will say, I’m happy with the product!

Close the trunk lid once you have it wired up if you dont latch trunk no power
Product is great I wired it into tail light ground and it powers off of the reverse light and the constant power red line either works well, my biggest struggle was that I installed the handle and then ran wiring to head unit to check everything worked before going to the trouble of hiding the wires, could not get it to work checked all wires with volt meter googled everything still nothing, however if the latch button is pushed to open the trunk it kills the power to the camera so even though the trunk lid was in the down position I had not fully closed it it was just resting shut, after losing my mind for 3 hours I closed the trunk properly put the car in reverse in disgust and on it came perfect. I felt a bit stupid but the camera has no instructions so ??? the quality and fit is very good would recommend it. Red wire to power black red wire to ground, and make sure that you are plugging the AV adapter into the correct place on the back of radio mine had a factory plug in it that I had to take out that was VW wiring for a factory camera dont just assume its the empty slot

I got a camera dead on arrival
Install of camera was easy but no matter how I wire it I get a glitchy screen. I've tried every which way and even hooked up another camera I had laying around and it works fine with the same wiring. First two pictures I attached are of this camera not working third picture is with a different camera I had with the same wiring where it's working fine. I tried installing to no avail right when I purchased this camera. It is my wife's daily driver and I have not had a chance to try to mess with it again until now and it is now 6 months since I purchased this product so I guess I'm out. Will gladly change to 5 stars if seller will send working unit

Mixed feelings
Install was very easy, fits and looks like factory. Picture is fine considering it’s a back up camera. My issue with it is that it’s not giving me the trajectory that changes as I turn the steering wheel as advertised. To add insult my aftermarket radio does it, and does a good job at it. If anyone could help me turn off the ones from the camera, that would be awesome.

Works fine
Slightly different that the original one, as this one is all in one piece (original on the Jetta has a white clip around the main piece).Once install it looks like OEM and no problem so far.Putting the camera / replacing the trunk handle was the easy part. The cable that goes all the way to the radio is a pain to hide but nothing the camera manufacturer can do about.Would be nice to add hardware to tap into the cable that feed the back light - but it is not included ( I ended up soldering as the tap thing I bought wads not the right gage, as I did not know which AWG to pick - so ended up grabbing one at random in the store but was not lucky).I also noticed a small delay (0.5~1 sec) for the image to show when putting the car in reverse - but unsure if it is caused by the camera or the radio.
