Very impressed with these crossbars. They are very well made, and the installation is pretty easy, if you carefully follow the instructions. The instructions are well illustrated and printed clearly. I especially like the inclusion of the double ended hex socket wrench. It appears that a lot of the negative reviews are the result of not keeping the bolts loose during installation or putting the wrong bars on the front or back. These crossbars are way better than paying $400 for the factory bars.

I like this one over the factory made, since it matches nicely with black shadow trim.** INSTRUCTIONS - could definitely be better and was a bit problematic. Also, a couple of spare screws for connecting the bars to the support would be handy, since during installation they kept falling off. I was able to install it myself, but was a bit frustrated.

The black Wonderdriver cross roof rails fit and look excellent on my black 2021 BMW X3. The rails are heavyweight aluminum with solid build quality. I hear virtually no additional road/cabin noise at 70+ mph. The installation instructions are vague but I quickly figured it out. Great quality at a great price!

We used them on a 12 hour trip right away. They worked great! Our gas mileage suffered but we knew it would. We didn’t hear any whistling. They would be easy to remove and put in storage but we have just left them on. They are easy to slide to the exact location you need them. They do lock in place with a key.

I will say I eventually got these on but no thanks to the instructions or the sticker labels on the parts (one of the labels was in the wrong direction). As others have said, I was having a hard time getting one of the shoes clamped on. I had to remove the washers on that side just to barely be able to get it on the track. Many of the bolts were not oiled and a pain to tighten. Aside from the installation pain, they seem sturdy and will give them a go.
