Wonderful company -Dora
When I received the stand, Took it out of the box...nice carrying case and was easy to put together and seemed sturdy. However when trying to extend the legs it was wasn't so easy, then I noticed one the metal supports was bent and plastic piece on the support was broken. I then received an email from the company offering 2 solutions, a refund or a replacement, they were quick to respond and very eager to help. Dora was wonderful and made good on her solution. Thank you Dora

Overall, it's useful
I'm an assistant instructor at a self defense school. Recently, due to Covid-19, we had to permanently close our gym. We brought our program online, and now we are able to have some in-person classes again. Because we no longer have a gym, we use various public locations around the area (parks, empty parking garages, etc., gives more realistic and scenario based opportunities). We are continuing to broadcast the classes online for those students who can't make it or who are still concerned about contact spreading.I use this tripod to mount my iPad for the broadcasts. So far, it works well. Sometimes I get concerned about the sturdiness but it's held up fine. Just have to make sure to flatten out the bottom. A friend of mine found an interesting use for the phone clip. Instead of mounting it (which you can't do at the same time as the tablet), you can actually sit the phone on one of the adjustment knobs and use the clip from around the back. It stays put. That's useful because I use my phone to tether the internet connection with the tablet. Since this tripod is light weight, I can easily pick up the entire thing (with the phone and the tablet) and move it around to capture the various areas of training. This thing turned out to be absolutely awesome!

Surprisingly sturdy. I expect to have it for a while.
This is a really great tripod, especially considering the price! I'm using it to record parts of a workshop for a research project, and we needed something that would be easy to manage but hold the tablet steady. I pretty much expected that i would use this for the workshop and have to toss it afterward because it would fall apart. I'm glad to say that the tripod lasted for the entire two weeks, and I'm looking forward to using it for future research and events! It's tall enough to take video of workshop participants sitting and standing, and I'm really happy with the way it worked. The carrying case is helpful, and it only took me a couple of tries to get everything back in without having to stuff the poles back in higgledy-piggledy. I don't know how long the case will last, as it's not terribly thick fabric, but it seems to work for now.The phone stand was more or less useless to me, because it doesn't rotate enough degrees to use in both portrait and landscape mode, but I think the regular grip might work for my phone, so I'll probably just toss the phone stand adapter.

ITS HONESTLY A⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I bought this item 3 years ago. Wanted to give myself time to try it out. The iPad holder use to get me all the time in the beginning because I didn’t know how to work it but nevertheless I was impressed at how it held my iPad and how I was able to manage the angle and height to my desired take for what is now “virtual visit”. THIS is a great product in especially now during this Digital era and all Zoom meetings or virtual Doctors appointments. Very easy to travel with and it can serve of great purpose in an office. Also super great for family pictures when you want everyone included in it, no one has to be left out. Just set your phone on tripod, adjust height and distance, turn on timer on your cellphones came and now you have the perfect family photo with no one left out behind your phone or iPad. I also love how you can make the transition from the iPad holder to an iPhone holder and use FaceTime, Skype, imo etc just as you would with an iPad♥️. I highly recommended.

Just ok.
I’m using this to hold an iPad. The ball joint machinism that connects the iPad holder to the stand comes with a plastic cap to screw over the ball joint so the iPad will be held upright and not just flop face down. It was not possible to hand tighten it enough to do that. I saw other reviewers had that problem. I used a pliers to tighten it more and was able to get it tight enough. But it is plastic and doesn’t seem like it will hold up to being screwed and unscrewed much without cracking. Since this came with a phone holder and another plastic screw cap I have an extra. But not impressed with its sturdiness. I’d rate it just ok and if it does break I’ll look for a different brand.

Fan so far but only used twice
I bought another tripod to hold my iPad and phone so that my parents can watch/talk to their 8 month old granddaughter without me having to hold the equipment. It broke within 2 weeks so I was looking for something without an adjustment screw that would easily strip. This takes the cake. It’s super easy to set up. It’s light weight. Feels super sturdy. It holds my iPhone and iPad mini well. The ball and socket head makes me feel a lot better about this items longevity. If it breaks though I will updat my review.

It won't hold a phone sideways (landscape; horizontal; lengthways; longways) or however you say it.
Will it hold a tablet? It held mine and not very securely. Will it hold a phone? Yes, however the inaccurate/incomplete website description doesn't tell you that it will only hold the phone in a way that centers straight up and down. The phone stand/connector can be moved or manipulated to about a 15 degree off center. While this "almost center" may be satisfactory for most people it was not in my case. I was also concerned over the longevity of the springs and clamps that holds the i-pad being too weak as the present design level to stand the test of time. In my experience it was no time at all before I clicked the return button and manifested a stand that was more... everything.
