So far, so good. I use Home Assistant and was looking for a thermometer with a probe to monitor my aquarium temperature. So I could then write a script that would warn me when the temp either got to hot or cold. Aquarium heaters are not what they use to be. Did some digging and came across this sensor. I didn't need the display, but it is a nice addition. So, I pulled the tab from the battery and Home Assistant found it right off, clicked setup, and done. At this point in time, it is accurate enough for my tank, and reports the same temp in Home Assistant. Don't let the add title fool you, you can use this Temp Sensor for many things.

Works very well but you need the hub for alerts by your phone when awsy. Blue tooth is ok but you have to be home and close by for to work. Buy the one with the hub

Works great. I both the gateway (make sure together you want to monitor away from home) and three of the thermometers for our freezers in garage. Easy setup and all three are aligned on screen in the app for easy access. I wish the alerts I setup were text versus email so that would be one improvement I would like to see.

The set up was easy the Govee system says I have a missing update for it, but I don’t see one. Other than that it came as expected the cord for the thermostat is flat so it fits through the seal better, but it’s not a full seal. It lets you set up alerts if you fridge or freezer goes over or under a temperature or a range. It came with the batteries and you can see it on the app or the temp screen.

Too many negative reviews for such a good thermometer. With this you will need the hub. I bought the set that came with the hub and 2 thermometers. You can connect up to 30 sensors on one hub. I am now using 4 of them. Install the app. If u get a message about an update then download it. Follow the directions and connect to your home wifi , 2.4 ghz only is supported. Once that is done move on to connecting the sensor. Open the app and click the plus sign in top right corner. Use search bar for this sensor. It will show a tiny picture of it on the app if you selected the right one. You will get a message to keep phone close to sensor while connecting. Once it is found u will need to depress the side button on the sensor one quick time for it to finish its connection and make sure your bluetooth is on your phone. In settings on the app you will see Remote View, click it. Next screen will show device and the word Bound. Click on Bound this will allow it to connect to your wifi through the hub. Setup is really simple. If I can get these to work in less than 5 minutes u can to. You can rename the sensor and adjust min and max Temps for alerts. Along with how long it has to be at or above the alert level u set before it sends u an alert. I am using these to monitor 3 deep freezers and in one refrigerator with no issues at all. All refrigerators and freezers have different seals and with all of mine I was able to pull the seal loose from the door and ran the cord under the seal and into the unit for a cleaner look. I am not a fan of a cord showing but it beats having batteries exposed to constant sub zero Temps and failing frequently. I have played around with the alert settings and they have not once failed for an alert to my phone. My hub is mounted up high in my garage. It fit perfectly in the outlet for the garage door opener in the ceiling. If u mount it behind the fridge or freezer it will more than likely get a weak signal. I am pleased with these and I do recommend them. The hub does not have a built in battery backup and needs to stay plugged in to constant power.

Have several govee products in my home that all work as intended. This temp sensor will not remain connected to bluetooth for alarm purposes and will not link to the govee gateway i already have. You have to specifically open the app to get status which negates the whole alarm functionality.Hey govee, why not make products that are backward compatible with your other gateways.? They all run on 2.4 ghz.Who wants a whole house of diff gateways for each individual sensor type? Also an individual gateway, specific to this product is not able to be purchased separately. I will have to reevaluate my relationship with govee going forward.**Update** After reading my review govee stepped up and offered a full refund. This is not an improvement on the product but it shows the manufacturer does value customer satisfaction.
