Helps you do the job
Although it may not be necessary to use this tool, it works well and makes the job easier. To make on and off of the housing easier, I use a this coating of high viscosity silicone grease on the threads and "O" ring that does not have any negative effects on either the plastic or "O" ring. Make sure your lubricant is plastic friendly and non-toxic.

Have to have one of these to change filter
It didn't matter whether I hand-tightened the filter canister; I had to have one of these wrenches loosen the canister and change the filter.

Good value
My first one broke after 16 years so this replacement is essentially the same so I expect it to last. I’ve always had good luck with Pentax products.

Make sure you pick the right size. I chose the 20” big blue (it’s not the white one in the description) and it worked great.

Amazing Little Tool
I struggled to get my filter off of my UV Light system, and this little took made light work of it. It took 2 seconds to undo my blue filter casing!! And 2 more to tighten it up!! Great buy.
