Vintage Shop #6.5 Solid Rubber Stopper - 4-Pack

I need stoppers for winemaking. It's important the stoppers don't add anything to the wine as it ages. So far ALL of the black stoppers I tried have an acrid, sharp taste that puts a chemical taint in anything, including water. These white ones have no flavor at all, natural cork has more. I'll buy these stoppers again, they fit gallon and half gallon threaded jugs perfectly. However, I don't suggest storing them horizontally.

These work great for my 1 gallon carboys. They are slightly bigger than the air lock plugs that the bottles came with, but that tend to slide in when you push too hard. These ones don't do that, they close the bottle firmly.

The stoppers are made from a rubber that will NOT stay in a carboy. They keep popping up risking must contamination. Don't buy these...they have cost me two batches of wine so far.

Size is just right

They seem to be of a good quality. Fast enough delivery. But if you got 1 gallon glass jugs they are too small they would drop through without even touching the edge. Not worth sending back as the postage cost more than the 4 corks. Guess I will have to eat this mistake.
