As you can see we are doing some remodeling, floors, trim and painting. I bought this not because of children, because of dogs. Trying to pull up flooring, trim, and and everything else involved is a nightmare when you have pets. We needed something to block off the areas we were working in. The exta height is perfect, no one can jump it. It comes with everything you need to do a regular pressure mount or the wall cups ( which is what I use) that makes it extra sturdy. The gate has a self closing hinge, and the door swings both ways. And it's actually a very attractive gate. To date this thing has held up to 2 rambunctious labs and is still going strong. I do highly recommend this, whether it's for children or pet's it definitely does it's job.

We got this to mount at the top of our deck to control the dog. Being carful to follow the installation instructions we got this set up perfectly. Mounted between the brick wall and top corner banister. We we're able to tighten this up enough to withstand the weight of the dogs paws. If he was thrashing and pushing he might be able to break it down, but he has respected it quite well.Stays outside in the elements and still works great after a year.We took it down carefully, keeping the door securely shut and properly restricted, and took it on vacation.

Strong, sturdy, easy to set up, easy to use. Perhaps a bit more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for.

Could be a little taller dog sometimes jumps over

High enough to keep my two shepherds out of the front TV room and off the sofas!Worth every penny.

This gate is really nice. Easy to mount, has extra section if the doorway is wider, and actually keeps the bigger dogs from jumping or climbing over. We got a jumper and our normal gate was a joke to her. This one worked fabulous. It actually looks good in the doorway, made of strong metal bars, the only thing I am concerned about is the latch which is plastic and may wear with time.

Beautiful quality easy to install. Just love it.

The gate is easy to install and operate it installed in minutes and for our dog, he is a taller dog and the gate is the perfect height. Unfortunately the auto close feature has a tendency not to correctly close the gate so you have to push it to ensure it is closed (this after spending 30 minutes adjusting the tension.). The other concern is the bottom latch grabs maybe 5% of the time. The rest of the time it goes well past the stop.
