Did not identify straight from regular fit. No flex in the belt.
I can't do anything with them until I lose weight around the waist.

Nice pants
Nice material... the waste wasn't as elastic as I'd expected from previous models but worked fine.

Nice Comfortable Pants
I tried these with the ROC and 3 other brands. These seem to run a little bit bigger than the ROC as I think the next size down would be better for me in these. The fabric is supposedly the same but they seem just a tad heavier than the ROC. Rugged is a good name for them in relation to the ROC, the knee area seems to be reinforced. I also liked the hooks as they might be useful for work or hiking. I would say the ROC pants seemed more dressy and these seemed more like work pants, but they could be casual wear too. I would or will buy a pair of these when I catch the next size down on sale. They are good quality but on the pricey side compared to other pants of this type.

Love 'em and hate 'em UPDATED: Hot 'n Loose
First of all, I'm a little peeved that I specifically ordered a Big & Tall fit, and was sent Regular. But that's on Amazon, not Columbia. Fortunately, the relaxed fit is generous enough that the boys aren't compressed, despite the shorter rise.Love: I really like the color "collegiate navy"... it's a deep, dark denim blue hinting at teal. The product photos show it being more indigo than it actually is. They seem well constructed and have a good drape, and feel nice to wear. They're a comfortable, straight leg relaxed to relaxed-plus fit. Good flex and range of movement. Back to the product photos, there is NO WAY those are the same pants, with the tailored fit that defines his thighs and calves.Hate: Waist measures an inch bigger than the tag size, and will stretch another 3 or 4 inches. Fits fine with a belt, but won't stay up without one. There's that stupid divided belt loop that serves no purpose (mine will fit up to a 1.5" belt). The zippered right thigh "pocket" is big enough for a single granola bar or a few magic markers. Hammer loop on the left hip, why? The fabric is thinner than denim but stiff and course, feels like sailcloth.Overall, a decent pair of street pants, but too baggy for hiking around and rocks and vegetation. Cost less than sixteen bucks, but there's still a 50% chance that I'll return them.UPDATE: wore them for about an hour doing mild activity... driving, walking. The pants were getting pretty hot, and I had to hitch them up constantly. Remeasured when I got home, and the elastic waist had loosened another inch! They went back to Amazon.

Continuing the Columbia trend of decline.
When I first looked at these pants and tried them on I honestly thought I got some sort of factory defect. All the belt loops are normal with except for one that they narrowed extremely and put this extra useless loop on. The problem is they narrowed it so much that half my belts that are normal with won't even fit through it. If they were going to add that extra useless loop on they could have kept the width of the belt loop itself the same, instead they stole the material from the existing belt loop... Dumb.I'm not sure what Columbia was attempting to do with this idiotic design. Unfortunately I've been seeing this trend with Columbia products they used to make straightforward gear for hikers, campers, fishermen, outdoors enthusiast.. it seems now they keep coming up with lighter, cheaper weight fabrics, useless fashion design details and strange slim fits for many of their pants. These pants seem to fit " ok" ... The hip and rear area is a little to baggy though compared to waist size ( good pants for a big posterior.

Un pantalon de taille, tissus et design très corrects.
Les avis négatifs de certains clients Amazone sur ce produit sont incompréhensibles, de mauvaise foi, pour ne pas dire plus...
