On-Stage DT7500 Guitarist Stool with Footrest,Black

Poor Construction Ruins Its Usefulness
I did not use this stool/stand intensively just for practice at home. But the screws, which were not anchored but simply drilled into the soft material on the bottom of the seat cushion, soon started falling out and could not be tightened in the soft material. The the sliding neck brace came loose, again, screws stripped. The cross brace across from the foot rest broke, a cheap braze or solder of the pot-metal material just broke. I fixed it with duct tape, but then the other end of the same brace broke as well. I now have it in a clamp hoping that JB Weld will fix it, but pot-metal is notorious for not taking adhesives well. Finally, the clip that holds the seat in place and then releases for folding up the stool is unstable and comes loose easily, resulting in the chair being unstable and can even collapse. If you are holding your expensive Taylor or Gibson guitar when that happens, the results will be catastrophic. I regret this purchase. I have never in an Amazon review used the word "junk." I won't use it here, because it would be too positive.

Improvements? I think not
I play guitar professionally and have worn out two of the previous versions of this stand over the last 20 years. This new version has a few major shortcomings. While the seat is a bit more comfortable than the old version - better padding - the release mechanism is a bit hard to use but most importantly, the legs that support the guitar while I go on break are MUCH lower to the ground than the older one, which means I have to unplug to rest it on the legs. The top yoke is probably a better design than the indentation on the front of the seat on the old one in terms of keeping the guitar neck secure. It is also a bit heavier than the old one the stand/legs and yoke do not fold up as well meaning it takes up more space in my vehicle. Would probably not buy again.

Great little stool/guitar stand
I love this neat little stool/guitar holder. It’s a cute way to display my guitar and keep it nearby and it’s also very functional. One improvement that would make it even better would be if the footrest was adjustable. I’m 5’3 and would be more comfortable with a higher rest. Maybe a couple of sets of holes and some wingnuts will do the trick. I might modify this myself.

This chair does exactly what I wanted
The seat gets a bit uncomfortable towards the end of a 3 or 4 hour gig.The weight to sturdiness/durability ratio seems about right.Folds up nicely and easily fits in my gig kit

Great gig stool
It is a nice piece for taking to gigs. Overall, you can’t have a guitar on the back while using, reason I purchased it in the first place. It is uncomfortable with the instrument behind you. It is on the higher side, so if you are tall, it works well. I am 5’7” and it is a good fit for me.

Height it not adjustable
If you are tall enough, this will be great for you. But for a 5ft 2 inch person the height is not adjustable so it doesn't work very well.

Worked as advertised!
I thought this would either be pretty cool, or pretty terrible. It's pretty cool! Great for a gig musician who needs a place to put his/her guitar on breaks but doesn't have much room. It's very sturdy, and I feel very comfortable leaving my Martin 00-DB in the holder with no concerns. If you're considering it, you'll probably like it. I haven't tried it with solid body guitars, but a standard acoustic works great.

Lightweight but sturdy.
Does everything as expected... sturdy, lightweight, compact, and nice guitar stand.

Came as advertised but could use some minor tweaks
I love how fast this came but the box it came in was slightly damaged. I love how practical and space saving it is. The latch is flimsy which does concern me and then I had to play around a little bit to fold it and the bottom part of the stand keeps falling every time I go to fold it so I have fold it part way, fold the bottom part and then finish closing the stool otherwise if I don't the bottom part of the stand will stick out or the stool won’t fold completely. I wish the latch was more solid and sturdy and cushioning was more softer and a little thicker.

Not comfortable to sit on for long periods of time
Sturdy. The guitar rest/stand is a neat feature to the seat - which is why I bought it but the seat itself isn’t very comfortable. You won’t be sitting on this thing for very long.
