I received this while overseas and don't have the instructions, can you tell me how to adjust the alarm range ?

Press and hold🔔for 2 seconds. The HIGH and Out icons will flash. Press C/F on the back to set high limit. Press 🔔again, the Low and Out icons will flash. Press C/F to set low limit. Press 🔔 once more to finish and return to main unit screen.

can this be used in a vehicle?

I use it to monitor fridge temperature in RV.

Do the thermometers have a calibration certificate?

Not that I know of. Although these thermometers are ok as a general indicator of the internal fridge/freezer temperature, my experience has shown that they are not particularly accurate. I believe this is mainly down to the fact that there is no easy way to run the sensor cable from the outside unit into the internal sensor inside the fridge or freezer - the cable is round and rigid and so distorts the fridge or freezer door seal. If the manufacturers were to replace the round cable with a discrete thin flat one, these thermometers would, I am sure, function much more efficiently and be a 4 or 5 star buy. As they are at present, regrettably they only warrant 2 or 3 stars.

is it possible to set the alarm temperature? I'd like to use this to monitor heat build up in an AV rack.

The max and min temps can be set to give a working temperature range, if the temperature falls below the min temp or rises above the max temp of the range set then the alarm sounds. The alarm signal is brief but the AL symbol continues to flashes until reset.
