Really impressed! But watch height.
Got this 28cm in grey, it's a great looking well finished piece. Heavy and feels of highest quality. Easy to clean inside and out. Got for £141 and feels like a bargain for a lifetime piece like this. Made braised chicken and a roast beef so far. Both turned out incredible.NOTE this thing is pretty tall and the only way I could get it to fit in my neff double (main large) oven was to lower the oven wire rack onto the oven floor. Works but definitely won't be fitting anything else in there with it. So be aware of this if you've a double oven. Other than that, very happy! Will also be buying the shallower version if/when it comes back on sale as it'll be versatile and lower in height.

Incredible
Hands down the best piece of kitchen equipment I have bought. Use it every day.

expensive but worth it
This cookware was talked about on TV, but the price did concern me how could I justify the cost, I am absolutely delighted I overcame my worries because it really is worth every penny, unlike other types of cocottes the unique lid means none of my food has dried out, whether I use it as a stock pot on top of the stove or as a casserole in the oven I don't have to add lots of water/stock, so my food flavours are more concentrated without the need to spend ages reducing it down. Because it looks good and is such good quality I have no problems taking it from the stove to the dinner table knowing that the contents will be piping hot and the food is perfectly cooked. One of the most used kitchen items, this one does not go into a cupboard.

Check the quality of what you get
I had to try two of these before I got one of acceptable quality, which judging by the other reviews is quite good. My first one had a very bobbly patch of enamel on the inside that looked like sand was trapped under the enamel. I actually queried it with Zwilling to see if it was a problem, who were pretty vague and asked me where I bought it before just saying if I wasn't happy to return it to Amazon! Considering these sell for £299 at Zwilling and I paid £141 I was a bit sceptical and the old "if its feels too god to be true it probably is" came to mind. Given some of the quality issues with other reviewers too, I was concerned that Zwilling were pushing their seconds out through Amazon. However my second one was actually in perfect condition and so relatively a bargain - Its still expensive compared to a chinese one, but it is a thing of great beauty and obviously works like a Staub should!

Love my Staub
Full cast iron cookware is expensive but it just can't be bettered when it comes to slow cooking. I tried a bunch of slow cooker recipes in my Instant Pot and all were a miserable failure. Electric slow cookers heat underneath but this beast from Staub heats all over, evenly, in a fraction of the time. It's heavy and you can't stick it in the dishwasher (obviously) but if you are in the market for cookware that will give you rich flavours and last a lifetime, I can heartily recommend this.

Don’t hesitate to buy. A worthwhile investment!
I still question why it too me so long to purchase a Dutch oven!Initially sceptical (due to the sizeable investment), I can honestly say it was the best money spent during lockdown. From crusty artisan breads and flavourful Biryani cooked in the oven, to slow cooked falling off the bone lamb curry on the stove - the versatility is of this pot is endless.I did a lot of research on which of the two well-known brands to buy, and whether to purchase it online or wait for shops to open; however, I opted to buy this brand and from here on Amazon.Great price, fantastic prompt delivery.Would definitely recommend.

LOVE THIS DUTCH OVEN!
I already own a smaller version of this dutch oven but was in need of a bigger one so I immediately looked to Staub. While it is expensive, you will only have to buy this one time and it will last forever. You can probably pass it down to the next generation as long as you care for it. I've baked everything from loaves of bread to stews in this and the end result is perfect every time. It's also very easy to clean with some hot water and a sponge. If you can afford it, get yourself this dutch oven and never worry about getting another one again....unless you're like me and need a new size!
