Tom HanksPhiladelphia (2-Disc Collector's Edition) [DVD] [1994]

Been meaning to watch this film for years and I wasn't disappointed, even though I already knew the outcome.

This is one of my best films: Tom Hanks is astonishing. However, when I saw it originally, one of the most moving scenes is the sick Beckett with attached drip feed listening to a Callas aria with no commentary, just ecstasy in Becket's face. In the most recent version, this scene is quite different: his lawyer is watching, it's a different aria and Becket makes a commentary. Question: are there two versions of the film?

An amazing movie and also very good sound and picture quality.Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington are brilliant and the Academy Award (Oscar)for Hanks is well deserved.Not a stunning, cutting edge quality,but pretty good.If you have a good TV, a good 4K Blu-Ray player paired with a good cables and of course, the good sound system,you won't be disappointed.

I can't believe I have never seen this before, excellent performances from Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington.

Nothing against this movie at all. It's brilliant from start to finish. I laughed, I cried, I drank myself through scenes. So many brilliant elements, I could not do any of them justice. Just watch it, if you haven't. It's got everything. Maybe, for some, a bit twee - it is still an incredible film.
