Envirosafe 3 cans of Arctic Air for R22 and Brass Gauge

My mini split was a little down on charge. I purchased this package and added to my unit and it’s working as it should. The gauge makes it easy to verify the correct pressure.

Thought I was buying a reasonable amount of refrigerant "FOR R22" as advertised with the pictured gauge. Those industry-standard 1 LB size cans have only 4 0z. inside, and it is NOT R22, as it is marked flammable. The can doesn't even say what it is, but my belated research indicates it's probably butane, and that substance is further mixed with oil and some sort of system sealer to make up the net 4 Oz. (Not much room for actual refrigerant, Huh?) Furthermore, The gauge I received was NOT the one in the PICTURE, lacking the R-22 temperature scale displayed to further confuse and entice the R22 customer! Since the system was now "mostly" R22 I used a pressure to temperature chart for that refrigerant to calculate super heat. Despite using all 3 cans, my super heat is still 13 degrees above the required temperature. and my low side pressure is 80 psi. I am requesting a return for refund from Amazon, and am now stuck with a "Frankenstein" refrigerant mix with incompatible oils. Instead of a do-it-yourself, success, I will have to have the system evacuated and flushed, then properly filled with whatever proper refrigerant and oil a professional will supply. Given the age of the system, using this product has probably rendered my AC system uneconomical to repair. I am getting quotes for proper repair, replacement, and for related professional advice. Two worked flawlessly, one did not have pressure. Followed the directions, vigorously shook it, and inverted it. Did not sound as the other two, and did not push into the system. It’s only four ounces per can. Don’t miss that. Great for window units, not for large systems.

I needed to top off my home A/C, and this kit made it super easy, especially by including the gauge. Highly recommended!

Our system was totally out of coolant in the used boat we bought. We put in some leak stop and this stuff and it works like a charm! So glad we found this so we didn’t have to replace our R22 system! Great customer service as well!!!

they only work on 1 can had to get an a/c repair man to put in r22 freon at $425 these cans are bad
