NOT BAD
The review with video calling it garbage obviously doesn't know how to use or set up. It doesn't matter if you buy the premium brands you still must setup and adjust before using.

You get what you pay for....
I didn't have high hopes, price being what it is, but I did hope I could put the work into it to possibly end with a pretty decent plane. NOT to be the case..! The look of it is pretty nice, though the blades came terribly dull, and with a concave shape, which can be worked around, and it has an old style chip breaker. After spending a few hours correcting, then putting an impressive edge on one blade, I noticed a terrible job was done on the chip breaker edge. It had large nicks along the edge. Then, after assembling, I found that the lateral lever doesn't really do anything to move the blade, so...useless. It was at that point I gave up and decided to return it. I'd include pics, but it's already packed to return...

It’s pretty…that’s it
Lateral adjustment is ineffective. Buildup of lacquer on metal to metal contact surfaces prevent the frog from seating the right way. Cap screw is not the right size or the channel on the plane iron cap is too wide. Adjustment lever does not seat properly and adjustment screw has too much play when moving between tightening and loosening.Cannot get this to adjust properly or to hold blade alignments more than one pass. Since I didn’t use it right after buying, I am out of the 30 day return window and may be out of luck. Tried contacting seller and just get the “user error” responses, despite listing the issues and having a master craftsman look it over.

Needs a Lot of Elbow Grease
I purchased the same plane under a different name a few weeks ago. That listing is down now.Out of the box this is a piece of junk. It won't really work, but it's a nice looking paperweight. But it's solid. Everything is metal and it's pretty much all shaped right. If you want something that works out of the box, you're going to need to to pay several times what this costs. You need to make sure the frog is lined up, you need to sharpen it because it's as dull as a year old crayon, you need generally fiddle with it until everything starts making sense and and by that time you'll be doubting your sanity. But this thing is big, competently constructed, and it's made out of iron and steel. It's worth the attention it takes to get working

Decent Starter Plane, Sharpen Before Use.
A solid starter plane after set up. The iron couldn't cut butter out of the box so that will need sharpened and honed. Sole needed a little flattening (180 then 240 grit sandpaper). All the standard calibration as you would with any new or used plane and there are plenty of YouTube videos to walk you through that. The only minor annoyance is the handle should be extended an inch to inch and a half longer to fit in the hand better. All and all if your new to handplanes and want one to tinker with before upgrading this is a solid option.

Useless garbage don't waste your money
The media could not be loaded. Seems to be a decent deal and great feel. Tried using it, garbage. Barely even trying to take anything off. Sharpened with my wet stone kit, still garbage. Worst product I have ever used.
