This is what I would refer to as grey board rather than chipboard, chipboard to me is like a wood substitute, but others might refer to it by different names. Either way this is a dense cardboard type material.The thickness is 2.5mm which is excellent for the heavier elements of model construction which was my intended purpose but I actually ended up using it to replace the card panels in my flower press which is is also perfect for.It’s nice quality, the surface is smooth, it’s sturdy but still with plenty of flex and cuts beautifully with a scalpel or stanley knife, I’ll definitely be ordering more.

This is a packet of 10 pieces of extremely thick cardboard. I think Americans call this chipboard, which explains the listing, but in the UK, chipboard is something completely different. It’s just slightly smaller than an A4 at 11 x 8 inches - again seems like it’s sized for the American market as this is their standard paper size I think?Anyway - it’s good stuff. I I got this to make book and journal covers from and it’s really nice and thick and strong. It’s pretty much the same as some I have had before, so I know it’s going to make fab covers and spines and will cover nicely.

This 10-pack of Chip Board cardboard sheets measure 11-5/8" x 8-1/4" and are 2.5mm thick. They are stiff and fairly strong but will flex if pressure is applied. The sheets are consistent and blemish free on both sides. On a few of the edges, there were a few paper flakes, but these were very minor. I am getting back into handmaking some custom books/journals and these chip boards are perfect for the covers. I can also see these being good in making pieces and tokens for various games, as well as dioramas and other similar projects.

I picked this up to use for some templates and I am not disappointed. It is very smooth and clean on both sides. The 2.5 mm thickness is stick, so whatever you make out of it should hold up well. I also will be using this in some dice trays for the bottom and it will give them a premium feel.
