Things solid some people complain about the gauge of metal but I disagree. The only complaint I have is the the outer fog lights it comes with are a little to big for that area in my opinion would be better with some 2x4 pods in those spots but I can get those myself most bumpers don’t come with lights so I’m not knocking a star for it

Some of the factory welds were off and weren't doing anything. Body lines for when bumper is bolted together are also slightly off. Welds on shackle mounts appear weak, rewelded everything to be sure. Also gaps between bull bar and bumper once bolted, welded to fox as well.

Ok first, this bumper looks so dang good…. Better than most top dollar bumpers. So let’s go with the positives. 1. Shipping was super fast like within days. 2. It looks amazing and is fairly easy to put together. 3. It comes with some decent starter accessories already mounted like fog lights.Now on to the only negative. 1. Packaging wasn’t the best and there was some minor cosmetic damage when received, nothing I couldn’t touch up.The bumper is great a few things I changed was the tabs at the bottom where the skid plate attaches I bent up the tabs on the skid plate and the mounting brackets just because that one thing bothered me and looked inefficient. Also the cutting points suggested in the instructions I closed that gap a bit.If you want a bumper and are on the fence about this one I say buy it! The quality is really good for the price.

While searching for a front bumper online, I came across the Hooke road. I was hesitant at first to purchase the bumper due to the price being low, and the lack of customer reviews. I decided to purchase the bumper, and couldn’t be happier with the product for the price. Since then the bumper has been thru various off-road trails and has held up well. I recommend this for anyone with a Tacoma that wants a sweet addition for a good price.

2 star because it came damaged had to sand it down and re bed liner it. Its worth the money half the cost of others

Easy fit and install. Makes the Taco for aggressive. Now to install my Warn winch and see what trails to tackle in Germany.

Following the instructions was slightly difficult but not impossible. I used the laser level tool, and the taping and lining was easy. Gaps in instructions are filled by YouTube. If you don’t already know how to take the bumper and the grille off you should figure it out before you put this together.Following the body cuts were slightly difficult. I would highly recommend getting the R4T cuts and just disassembling the bumper taking it off was significantly easier and if I didn’t have to cut it, it would look better although cutting it was part of the instructions, the instructions did not clarify that the gap would be so significant. I’m going to use some trim to make the cuts look slightly better. But there is a gap, so just know that when you cut it’s going to have some space.Winch plate and install was pretty good, nothing crazy. Badlands 9500 as per instructions, waiting for switch panel to arrive to fully put it in.Solid bumper on the street, I will have to cut the fender liner and this will make the whole thing “done”.
